this is literally what I've been gaining more courage to do one day, I've use to landscape in this amazing gated community with all of these beautiful mini mansions, and always wanted to know what is it you do. like its not about the money I care about, but genuinely how someone can make it to that level.

When he was speaking to the finance guy, it reminded me of something Chris Rock said years ago in the "Black In America" documentary. He mentioned that famous people (Mary J Blige, a rapper, etc.) and regular people (a dentist) lived in his building. The idea that a dentist could afford to live in the same building as superstar entertainers really struck me. The finance guy is another example. You don't have to be a business owner, or super famous, to make a ton of money.

As I was listening to the physician talk about how he was pushed into the field instead of choosing it himself, it made me think about how not all people with millions in the bank and multiple nice houses are happy. What matters more, happiness or money? The key is to have both of course, but I don’t think that’s the reality for the majority of people in these situations.

Very true, people downplay advisors role, until burnt by their mistakes. I remember just after my layoff early 2020 amidst covid outbreak, I needed to stay afloat, hence researched for license advisors. Thankfully, I came across someone of practical knowledge, and decades of experience, my stagnant reserve of $325K has yielded nearly $1m after subsequent investments so far.

As a contractor myself I knock a lot of doors for business and it’s amazing the ability to network an area out of thin air just by pounding the pavement day in and day out. People often forget that networking takes place everywhere even by just knocking on a strangers door and asking them questions. Always be respectful to people and always be willing to ask questions you are genuinely curious about because more often then not people are still willing to share with you. People are almost always willing to open up to you once you break the ice

Some of them are probably in debt up to their eyeballs. Living in a fancy house and/or driving a nice car are NOT necessarily indicative of wealth. Most Mercedes are bought on CREDIT (people with money don't need loans to buy s $70k car-we pay cash). Most wealthy people are frugal, not flashy. Noah, You have the right attitude - curiosity is where it all starts, leading into experiments, trial-and-error, learning, then surprise little successes that boost morale and confidence and more determined experiments, climb, climb, the years go by, then you find you have a good stash of money. You keep going because of the adventure, the freedoms, the greatly increased ability to help others. Good luck, I've subscribed. A key ability you demonstrate is the willingness to be embarrassed and fail (even on camera in your case) but quickly pick up and try the next possibility. It's thrilling. I've done it a lot.
