I cannot thank you enough for these videos. I’m in my ‘60’s and have never LOVED studying my Bible…until I started learning from you. I grew up in a parsonage, too, and have always tried to live for the Lord. But oh how I’m loving my Bible time now. I had to have an interleaved ESV Bible. I bought the Cliff Notes and had a wonderful time gluing them into my Bible. Bible Boot Camp has taught me so very much! I appreciate y’all so very much and that God sent me to your channel.

Go to Mike Wingers youtube page he has a studys throung Peter, Mark, Romans...and it so good!=) I also have a journaling Bible so I write down thoughts etc directly in my Bible from those studies...also if I listen to sermons I lokk up the Bible passage and write down my notes there.

For the person who is concerned about the pastor’s vision. I have seen my church grow from 8 families to over 250. This was because a handful of people were willing to wait and pray and develop programs like we were going to be big. God’s plan is for his church to grow not just spiritually. There are people who do not buy into the vision but God will grow the church with or without you.

I kind of lean toward God was and is always in full control of what can happen. In Eden, he told Adam and Eve not to eat from that one tree. God told them what the consequences would be if they did. They still chose to eat from it. He never lost control, he carried out what he said their consequences would But, because of his goodness and love he allowed them to live. They suffered for their sin, we all do. One day we will all die. But because he is so loves us so much he offered his son to die as atonement for our sin. And we are given a choice. If we believe that he gave his son to die for our sins we will live forever in heaven. How awesome! gracious is that!

I’ve been told at church before that I can’t serve because of being single and not having children. A pastor that I respected said I was an abomination to God because I divorced and abusive and adulterous husband. That happened a long time ago and it really made me question my faith. I am just coming out of that hurt. I grew up in church and it always felt like home. Even though I am coming out of the hurt now, church is hard for me. I have lots of anxiety and have to wrestle with myself to go. I pray the feelings I have will eventually pass.

@wheelchairup it sounds to me that you went through a very difficult and painful experience.. my heart goes out to you.. as I too am someone who’s experienced abuse. Honestly..in my opinion, being with an abusive spouse is definitely a reason to consider separating permanently. I also don’t understand how a pastor could even say those words to another Christian.. really doesn’t sound appropriate to me at all. Anyways, Jesus loves you!

Being a Pastor is not a job, it’s a calling GOD places on your life, knowing that GOD will supply all your needs according to HIS glory and purpose on your life. Its not a means to an end, or about how much money you make. GOD already knows what you need. It’s GOD’s timing.

You have been a great inspiration and very easy to listen too, i have a question for you. Do you think we should pattern our life after any apostle?...Reason i have asked alot of christian youtubers about this and they say it is alright because they were devinely inspired by God.... My thinking is our lives should be focused on Christ and folowing His commandments. The Father could use anyone to do and bring about His word and His will. No matter they were devinely inspired by God they are still men. "There is not one good except the Father"... I will appreciate your thought on the subject matter.

We have churches here where you have to submit your latest W-2 in order to confirm your income before you can become a member. Speaking in tongues is a hugely hot topic actually - I’d love to see Faith or Joe (or both) do a video weighing in on this.

I've never heard of a church expecting people to submit a W-2 in order to become a member. I feel that is wrong, could you explain it to me a little more if you don't mind
@melonhead1229089 ай бұрын
@@embatron3000 Well, I should rephrase that statement. We have a local megachurch here in Springfield, MO (James River Church, formerly known as James River Assembly) that is very large, very wealthy, and very demanding financially. Supposedly, and by that I mean callers on local talk radio shows have said it, they want to see a W2 so they can verify your income and make sure that you’re properly tithing before you can actually become a member of the congregation. If you search online, you’ll find message boards where people confirm it and deny it also. Officially, the church supports “anonymous giving” on their site.
@embatron30009 ай бұрын
@@melonhead122908 thank you for explaining that to me! This is actually the first time I ever heard of this kind of thing. Although I completely agree that we should all be tithing and stewarding well what God has blessed us with, it's concerning that this specific church wants to monitor people's income and expenses so that they can make sure they are tithing. It seems like this could be used in the wrong way, although I could be wrong, I just feel that incomes can change and situations can arise where people may not be able to tithe what the church is expecting. It almost seems as if the church is way more concerned with money than they are with allowing any person to come and worship God. I don't want to cast judgement as it's not my church to judge, but I feel like that would be a red flag for me

God Bless you Faith! Can you do a study on Hebrews 10:26? For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, I left the faith after my divorce and am now working towards living holy and righteousness. This verse has me perplexed and don’t know how to receive it. It’s said once saved, always saved but this verse confuses me. Can you please enlighten me? Thank you!

One thing I come across in regards to church membership is that some people see organized religion as evil/bad. They want to worship and be active, but do not want to have their names down as a church member. Thoughts?
@paulamills31509 ай бұрын
Relative to the concern about the pastor who has a vision for the church to grow to three services. We didn't get the pastor's perspective, so it is difficult to see this clearly, but how is growing the church a negative? First, it is a vision...future looking. Second, isn't growth a good thing in reaching more people and helping more people find their way to the Lord? I guess I would want to know the approach to growth. Growth belongs to the church, not just the pastor, and it takes time to achieve growth. Finally, has the person met with the pastor to share their concerns? Communication is key in all things.

Can we lose our salvation?
@rebekahearly11449 ай бұрын
The best answer I’ve heard on this is that because we didn’t do anything to make ourselves saved, we can’t do anything that could reverse it. Because we become a new creation, there’s no going back. Now that we have been redeemed, we aren’t going to be sold. Ephesians 1:13-14 is a great scripture on this. Of course, we will wrestle with our old nature for the rest of our lives so we might end up doing things God does not want us to do, and some people who call themselves Christian are actually not, so it might look from the outside as if those people lost their salvation.

can loose your salvation if you stop serving the Lord and turn you back on him or if you are living in sin, you will not inherit the kingdom of God. Repent and be baptised in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. If ye continue in my word the are two my decibel indeed. And ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free.
