If the government require an army (which they have underfunded through cuts) then they need to create an incentive to fight in it. That means vast improvements across the NHS to social housing and standard of it. Forcing the poorest in society into potential death is not a sustainable option.

That is what happened in ww1 if I remember correctly. The upper classes tended to volunteer and be officers and had a dreadful casualty rate. On one hand, why should the indigenous youth die for a government who has repeatedly made it clear that they are unwanted? On the other hand, the fact that most people aren't willing to fight and potentially die for their families, community, and nation might indicate that national service is desperately needed. It's needed to reverse what government, academia, and media have sowed. They taught everyone that nationalism is bad, white skin is inherently evil, don't be masculine, etc. You reap what you sow!
