@@scary5455 there’s a difference between givings kids drugs vs just allowing them to live their lives and not trying to ruin every little thing. Reiterating that I said “camp counselor”. Just let kids be kids especially during the summer. And YES a kid is technically old enough to drink and smoke. Of course not legally but we see it all the time it’s just the norm atp. 13-18 you’re just considered a young adult but the older you are the more you know that’s still a kid. My first time I wasn’t in high school yet so I’m sure other people can relate to being young, experimenting, and appreciating the adults who aren’t making big deals out of it.
@spliffsforbreakfast Жыл бұрын
@@scary5455 and sorry for typing so much. But also camp counselors are often young adults themselves in their early 20’s. So it’s not hard to believe that they’d see a kid smoking or drinking and not complain but instead give further mentorship
@moistman3110 Жыл бұрын
@@spliffsforbreakfastthey don't have to contact anyone about it unless it's hard drugs, but you yourself acknowledged that they're still kids, thus I'd say the least the counselor can do is get them to cut that shit out and discourage it verbally. Just because it's normal does NOT mean it's OK, especially for children. It's certainly not "cool" to be totally accepting of it, it's just irresponsible. People with gambling addictions think you're cool if you give them money, and drug addicts think you're cool if you give them more drugs: don't encourage and enable bad things for people simply because it makes THEM happy in the moment. Terrible mindset for life in general, especially as it relates to kids.

What I've seen as someone who hasnt thrown a punch for years now: apparently, the people who dont manage to land the blows are the ones who try long punches from a mid-range instead of going close and personal. The first guy managed to hit not just because he seems to have some training on him (or street fighting experience, that I dont know) but also because he stays really close to Jeff. Maybe not the best thing to do in a fight when your opponent strikes back, but if you're perfectly sure that you wont get hit back getting closer seems to be a better strategy.
@Elysium346 Жыл бұрын
If you are getting in that close to punch someone in a fight, you sure as hell better have good grappling skills because chances are they will start wrestling you - especially if they have height advantage or feel they are physically stronger than you. The other problem with going in so close is that you cant generate as much power unless you use hooks and uppercuts, elbows and knees and they can do the same to you if you don't know what you are doing But for the purpose of just maximising chance to hit, irrespective of the risks and compromise of power involved - yes moving that close guarantees you will be able to hit opponent in the body and makes it much easier to hit them in the head.
@MMAShredded Жыл бұрын
haha yes I agree!
@VicStrange9 Жыл бұрын
@@Elysium346 Excellent answer. Mine own was pretty much constrained to this particular interaction, thus its a bit short-sighted, granted. To be fair, though, I wouldnt expect untrained people on the street to be able to land uppercuts (maybe because I'm clumsy but hooks and uppercuts require some technique to land decently IMO) or even worse, elbows and knees, it doesnt feel as "natural" as to try and throw a random punch and see what happens, for people who have never fought. On the other side, yes, they will try to wrestle. I absolutely agree on the thought that getting close and personal isnt the best idea unless you have some real grappling skills, and ofc, the absolute best idea is to absolutely never fight if you can avoid it.

Great Movement, Jeff! Hahah when you rolled under the short punches, posting your neck/head on the opponents chest, I was halfway waiting for you to to respond with a peek-a-Bo hook or a head but to their nose! Nice development through the years, brother. You’ve got a knack for this fight science/ fight game. 🤙

situational awareness is refined now with all the sparring... congrats on reaching this level of skill. your body has brain cells and it is more your bodys gut reaction that saves you. good stuff...

What a fun video! Really liked the different range of people you got and how everyone looked like they were having fun. Awesome shoulder barges knocking people over, your head movements are awesome. It's interesting how the people with previous experience fighting were easier to predict / dodge than those without.
