Asking Strangers to Cook Them Dinner in THEIR House

We arrived in Lisbon knowing that Portugal has been voted the friendliest country in the world. So, we thought it was the perfect place to seek discomfort, put our social skills to the test and see if a stranger would open up their doors and allow us to cook dinner for them in their kitchen. Going around Lisbon, asking strangers to cook them dinner in their house will definitely go down as one of the most bizarre and meaningful experiences of our life. 😆
It was much more challenging than expected but eventually, after days of searching, we found the perfect strangers to cook for. If you've watched us for a while you know that for us, our community, our friends, and our family are a key part of our happiness. We hope that this video inspires more of you to step outside of your comfort zone in order to turn more strangers into friends and live your life to the fullest.
Oh, and if making new friends and meaningful connections is something you struggle with, we share three characteristics that the most likable people in the world have in common - 3 things that will make you more likable! 💛

It's been a while guys. Dear Jesus! Before you even mentioned vulnerability this made me cry a little, as you brought up "what advice you would give your 13 year old self?" I started thinking what I would tell myself and it goes as follows: Stop trying to execute the endgame. You don't have to become the big successful guy you picture in your head right here and now. Don't put that much pressure on yourself. Take it day by day. Every day improving, enjoying, and moving an inch closer to that ideal dream. I promise you that one day, we will reach some level of success. I'm working on that rn, I'm right there with you. Let's do this together. And maybe one day...we will make that dream a reality, and live the way we truly want to live. I love you. And you should love yourself too. Dear God I even cried writing this. What a powerful video. Even my current self needed that advice, because I tend to fall into darkness and despair if I don't meet my highest expectations. I know one day I'll be living a life that I love, but I should take things day by day. I can't really become a "big shot CEO" from 1 day to the next. It takes time, and it takes work...but in the end...anything is possible :')

Wow-what a beautiful reminder you shared! Your words are powerful, encouraging, and very relatable! I (Ste) also tend to set very high expectations and too often I find myself attaching my happiness to whether or not I accomplish what I set out to do. It's definitely not the healthiest way to live life. As you mentioned, I'm also trying to put less pressure on myself (and Rach). Also love the focus you put on "enjoying" the little steps. This is such a key and sometimes I also tend to take the moment for granted. It's a work in progress but we both got this!! Thanks again for sharing with us, your words were helpful!
