The people saying it depends on the flow we’re right. Some women have heavier flows than others. As a woman with a heavier flow, the heavier days usually use up around 5-6. Though there are lighter days during the period that use up less (maybe around 2-3) One is not nearly enough for anyone unless it’s like the tail end and you’re spotting. And if you’re bleeding through 15 a day go to the ER LMAO Hope this answers any questions!

@@JJayTheGoat Well I mean if you have a heavier flow wouldn’t you use a pad that is for heavier flows? So wouldn’t it be about the same amount used everyday, just different sizes? That’s what I do anyways. Of course if someone only gets one size it makes sense to have to use more of those on heavier days.

@@IsabeLLE_notLLA it can depend on that too. I personally don’t use the larger sizes despite heavier flow because larger sizes are uncomfortable for me. So I might go through more tampons than someone who can tolerate larger sizes. Also yeah you can use a pad too. I use one just because my flow is too heavy to only be covered by one or the other. Again, the best answer to this question is it depends on the flow since everyone is different.

For most woman the flow becomes less heavy day after day. It also depends on of you're on hormonal contraception (may make flow less heavy) or for example have the IUD without hormones (usually makes flow more heavy). The rule is: don't let one tampon in for more than 6 hours to not risk toxic shock syndrome. Some woman may strech that a bit though. If I use tampons (rarely) I usually use 3 big ones on first two days and then 1-2 normal ones on day 3 and then maybe a small one for day 4 and done.

It depends on the person and their flow. So I used to have a really heavy flow, which meant I used to change my tampon every other hour (sometimes even more often) and wear a pad to avoid bleeding through. So that meant 7-10 tampons+pads. But for me now it’s more like 4-6☺️

For everyone complaining that they didn’t get an answer, there isn’t just one right one. It can vary so much from person to person, to what day of the cycle they’re on, to what type they use🤷🏼‍♀️ So if you have someone in your life you’re gonna buy any menstrual products for, talk to them!! Some here write they can use as few as 3, but personally I had a really heavy flow when I was younger and sometimes had days where I needed to change it at least every other hour + have a pad too to avoid bleeding through. So that’s like 8-10 tampons. But for me now I can leave it in for 3-4 hours, so like 4-6 total in a day usually, but for most it’s the heavies the first few days and then it gets lighter and lighter😊
