When to process a PRTD?

A temporary official document allowing you to travel back to Canada as a permanent resident of Canada is a Permanent Resident Travel Document (PRTD). ✔️
If you don't have a current PR card, the PRTD proves to transportation providers that you are authorized to go to Canada as a permanent resident. 😉👌

Hello , I went to Canada on open work permit but then came back but I have work permit valid for 2 more years . Also my wife applied PR for me and her as well and we got the PR and she is in Canada and I am in India . My passport is stamped and received copr but my wife who is primary applicant and in Canada haven’t received the ecopr. So my question is can I travel back to Canada ? On My work permit? Hi Kubeir. I landed in Canada in June 2023 and stayed in Canada for 5 months and had to come back to India for an emergency. I had still not received my PR card. I am planning to apply PRTD from India and now I’m wondering if I am eligible for getting PRTD since I haven’t been in Canada for 730 days. Can you please help?

Hello Kubeir, I was in Canada on open work permit and I got my PR approval. I sent ircc my name, uci no and my presence in Canada for login credentials into portal. Bt due to emergency I had to travel india and I emailed ircc that i am in india. Bt still they have sent me login credentials for login into PR portal for declaration and photo upload. I am not in Canada What should I do? As i have 7 days to reply to PR portal credentials email!!
