Hello Kubeir, I am a CA with 3 years work exp and I'm currently studying for 1 year degree in Canada. My score after 1 year study is 486, should I consider doing second course or it will be a calculated risk-win situation if I apply for PGWP and start working and get 40 points of Experience in Canada at 11th month (as mentioned by you) and hopefully get ITA and then BOWP? A suggestion would really be helpful since I'm perplexed on doing another course. Thankyou in advance.

Although, I have 3 years of Canadian experience but I would like to claim points for only 2 years. How can I do this without doing any misrepresentation. Also, the rationale for doing so for increasing my chances of getting picked up in Ontario HCP draw.

My ECA is getting expired on December.. How long it needs to be valid after submitting the PR application? Is it needed to be valid until R10 stage or until AOR at the time of submission.. please clarify therefore I can apply for the renewal of my ECA if needed

Only ''problem'' I have with learning french at this point is that we're using some good six months to a year to learn it to the level we want -- and nobody knows if it will be worth it in six months. It's jsut more of the maybe games IRCC has been playing lately.

What I meant is that if french is the to-go way to increase your score now, as soon as everybody starts doing it, in six months we'll just have a general increase in the score from french and be in the same situation, except of being stuck in the 490~500 we'd be stuck on the 500~520 because everybody would be going for those points.

@@linksow5331 People have been saying this for as long as French has been awarding bonus points. At the end of the day, you can learn French, take the 50+ points and have a chance, or not do it and pretty much guarantee that you will never get in. I started learning French late last year knowing that it might not end up paying off for any number of reasons but also knowing it was my only realistic shot, and now here I am with my PR application in its final stages, and will probably be in Canada with PR by the end of the year. Edit: Also 99% of people do not have the drive to learn French in 6 months while still taking care of their day-to-day business. Even if every single candidate starts today, the people who actually stick with it will still be comfortably making it in by mid next year. Also, the fact that you're talking about going from 490-500 to 500-520 tells me you've done very little research on this, because B2 French gives you a minimum of 50 bonus points. On top of all this, it's not unlikely that they'll continue with the French-only draws, which were, what, under 400 points last draw? Actually, there's even one more factor, which is that even if they completely remove the bonus points AND the targeted draws, B2 French will make you eligible for the Quebec immig programme.

Well if you applied for OINP-Int Stud Stream then you are eligible for that stream even if you haven't finished 1yr CEC experience. The only criteria is you can't leave the job until you get your PR.

I got a permanent job with bc government. I am planning to apply through bcpnp in which one requirement is to have an indeterminate job offer letter. Because I am on work permit, the offer letter I got has an ending date as I have on my work permit. Will this be an issue applying under bcpnp?
