ASL Fingerspelling Demo -

Just a quick demo video. Should I make a longer video about this? Let me know in the comments.
My team placed 9th out of over 1300 teams, and secured a #kaggle gold medal in a kaggle competition to detect American Sign Language Fingerspelling on #kaggle.
I don't know sign language....
Even so, I learned this phrase to show how my team's ML model can detect ASL fingerspelling!
This was a really fun competition and I learned so much from being a part of it. It's great to know the reasearch that came out of it will go to help improve people's lives.

Just came across this video through a random suggestion from KZbin and this is so cool! Coming from someone who learned ASL this is exciting to see. I can see programs like this being used in the future to make services more accessible to Deaf people.

Congrats!! And you better cover the solution in depth cos not everyones a multiple time Kaggle GM. And frankly, it would be more than awesome if you could just walk through the set up and how you iterate and keep track of multiple models and how you organise the whole codebase. Cos I saw your live stream and was impressed. Also, since you hadn't made a live stream, I was wondering where you were. So since your time table is so variable, could you maybe post ahead of time when you would do the live stream so that people can free up their time. Since, even though you can watch afterwards, it would be more fun to catch you live and interact. :D
