Awesome lesson! I love all the technical information on how to properly use a sign. As a new “signer” I like the idea of creating good habits.

Chris I'm happy I found you! I'm taking an ASL class on-line. The teacher goes too fast for me to get numbers 21-30!. I couldn't get them from you either. Is there a way you can show it slower and at different angles? Your the first ASL teacher on-line I like! The class I'm taking is through college! Thank you 🤞

9:47 he sneaked a "38" in there accidentally when showing this way to sign the 20s. Looks like Chris must be more accustomed to the L way and his hand couldn't help itself for one of them
@ChrisGorges2 жыл бұрын
You're so right! It did feel really awkward singing 26-29 without the L's and looking back it I did seem to slip a 38 in there lol

*I had to chuckle on #2 because for some reason, I automatically thought about all these people on social media making a duck face and holding up two fingers. It just looks like, "Two duck faces, please..."* 🤭 _giggle_

your thousand sign looks like the sign Again. or do these signs look similar ?
@ChrisGorges3 жыл бұрын
The two signs do look very similar, however for thousands it will be proceeded by a number where as the sign for again is usually a bit smaller and the non-dominant hand will curve upwards a bit into the palm of the other hand

Hi, friendly correction: the sign for SHOPPING is BUY++, not SELL++. It makes sense conceptually, because shopping involves buying multiple items, rather than selling. Otherwise, very thoughtful and well-organized video! Nice work. :)

Don't do two 3- two 4, two 6 - two 9 with handshape V for twenty's. Do handshape L for twenty's except 22. Do L1 = 21, L3 = 23, L4 = 24, L5 = 25 .. keep go on with L# to L9.
