Very nice tribute to Thurl Ravenscroft. I’ve been trying to master his song when it came out in the early 1990’s( Socisl media and I know it’s from the 60’s) Not an easy task. But your spot on Bobby.

Any tips for aspiring bass singers you seem amazing :)

Liam Bishop Thank you! Some tips I would suggest are: Don’t push when you want sing low notes loud or lower, just relax and let the breath do the work. Work on vocal exercises every day, I find nasal ones help with resonance. Also listen to other basses (some of my favorite include Avi Kaplan, Geoff Castellucci, and Thurl Ravenscroft) to listen for some of the vocal styles they use. Don’t ignore your upper range, I’ve been working on belting more recently so I can extend my range higher. And your voice will get lower and more resonant as you age :) hope that helped.

@@the.bobbybass do you mean pushing like the larynx or pharynx? or that feeling in the lower abs when someone do the apoggio?
@antemahoney43762 жыл бұрын
@@enocjordanabi4207 When he says don't push he is referring to the contricted sound that happens when someone tries to drop their larynx too far as to falsely create a darker and deep. The apoggio is what provides the breath support which he mentioned should do the work because the voice sits on the breath because one can't speak without being able to breathe well let alone sing.
