At the roughly 23 minute mark, as the broken German squad is looking for where to rout, none of the American units near it were known to the routing unit, so I believe it would have been acceptable for the unit to rout to the same location as the other MMC and leader.

Thanks so much for the videos! Just watched them all through and a great help to learning the game. Just a quick rules query: not sure about Starter Kit but in full ASL I'm pretty sure that in the DFPh a unit that is already First Fired can only fire at adjacent units at that point... Thanks again: hoping to see the conclusion of this battle soon!

Interesting! I´m new to ASL and recently started ASLSK. I´ve soloplayed this scenario 4 times and tried different tactics but the Germans have won every time.

Any reason you stopped the series at turn 3? It's been 6 years so it's kind of late to get back to it now. I noticed in your playlist that you have a number of ASL videos playing the full rules of the system and wondered if at the time, you ventured off the Starter Kit to play the full game, if then finishing this ASLSK series became a moot point. I subscribe to your channel and enjoy it thoroughly!

I have a few video series that I cut short for for various reasons - moving, long trip for work, etc. I later sold off all my starter kits so only have full ASL now. I regret parting with them because they are great for teaching.

@@CounterAttack Ok, thanks for your reply. Yes, we all have things we got rid of for various reasons through out our lifetime and wish we hadn't, so I understand where you're coming from. Thanks for doing the other ASL videos and a special thanks to you for converting and posting Russ Gifford's great series of videos! BTW, I also really enjoyed your Fields of Fire series which I watched a number of years ago. It's one of my favourite games of all time. I look forward to getting to your Empire of the Sun series too.

19.30 Germans were advance firing, but didn't halve their firepower... At 26.? the American rallied twice, but had only just routed (and if you had missed a rally phase that's tough luck). At 30.? could 1 fp firing into a stone building cause an nmc? At some point assault fire for the Germans stopped. Love it though!

Too many disconnected, piecemeal moves by the Germans. Only way the German has a hope of winning this scenario is by consolidating his forces and concentrating his firepower.

It was my first time touching ASL and meant as a rules learning exercise, so ya, I didn't play very well :)
