how many pulses per rev for old school KZ1000 ? I am thinking 2 pulses per cycle

Depends on how the tach signal wire (white wire) is connected. If connected to a coil, then it would be 1 pulse per rev. If connected to tach output of an aftermarket ignition (dynatek) it will likely be 2 pulses per rev.

I have a question, im gonna attempt to use this air shift module with a pingel electric shifter instead of an air shift.. my only concern is the purple and brown wire mentioned in the video, could I simply not hook those wires up to basically ignore the air part of the module? Everything will work fine otherwise just wondered if it can be used without those wires hooked up

Yes, the ASM can be used as an engine kill module only. You can leave the brown and violet wires disconnected (be sure to tape them up).

What all needs to be changed to use auto shift mode? Does the input polarity need to be changed? The previous owner of the bike was using the air shifter, but i want to use auto shift mode. It's a gen 2 busa bracket bike.

You just need to set the ASM to Auto Shift. That's it! Once in auto shift mode, you can select shift RPMs for each gear. Check/set those and you're ready to go.

@Schnitz Racing Where does the green wire lead to the previous owner said it may have disconnected or possibly broke. Tried auto shift mode, and after 1-2 shifts, it jumped real bad and almost felt like it upshifted.

If you disconnect the battery, do you have to go back in and set anything or will it hold settings?

It will hold it

The Air Shift Module will hold it's memory and all settings if power is removed.

Hi, can this be used on a 2015 s1000rr that has a factory fitted quickshifter just for autoshift? If so is there a wiring diagram?

Unfortunately we do not have a wiring diagram for the BMW. We have not installed one ourselves on the S1000RR.

After you program, everything in the module.. and you put it in auto shift.. I’m guessing you have to turn it back to the “on” position, correct ? And then it’s ready to take down the track?

Yes. You'll flip the switch back to the on position after the burnout. I'd suggest setting it for a low RPM and testing first. Then, go up in RPM.

@@schnitz_racing If I left activation on all the time - I read it will reset when below 2k. like after burnout and go to stage.

@@pokeyboy1 Yes, it will. However many drag bikes with open exhausts typically idle at 1800-2200 RPM, so some will need to get into the routine of turning the switch off after a run and then back on before a run.
