There was something about the grittiness of this game that made it so good. The franchise was still young and still had its feet in the more arcadey Forza 1 and 2. But with more dollars and devs, it was also made with dreams of what a true racing sim could be down the line. The feeling of progression, learning to drive faster and faster cars until you can drive the endurance league cars for dozens of laps… Wonderfully paced and so damn fun.

Back during a time when forza's music had elegance, class and nostalgia in calming and soothing package. Fm 3 & 4 ambient soundtracks were amazing, the best in the series so far. Best is fm 4s soundtrack similar to 3 but has a past meets future vibe in one of its tracks. Music befitting a technical racing game.

You get to a nuclear power plant, and you fight off some enemies. then you drive away, and speed through the highways of New York, looking at the vibrant city at night.

I was hyped for the new Forza Motorsport (2023), I thought to myself that it could be a return to the elegance of Forza 3 and 4, a return to form and quality. Forza for me, was always about the spirit and the passion of driving. Obviously there's the simulation, the graphics and all... but it came from a REAL place, you know? The magic of driving was there. It's main rival, Gran Turismo, I usually found to be lacking in that department, so it never clicked with me. If it's just about the simulation and nothing else, then pick GT I thought. So imagine my disappointment to see that Forza now sort of became... Gran Turismo. The passion is gone. Bland menus. Bland UI. And no Soundtrack in this level of quality at all mate! Oh well... Here's hoping they release a Remastered Collection with the old ones? Forza 1 through 4, I would love it.

Wow I can't believe this post. Have you even played a single Gran Turismo game? For years the series was known for one thing: its incredible atmosphere that reeked of car passion. We're talking about games that would drop pages and pages of car info, 10 minutes long intros showing how a car is built and heartbreaking music videos at the end of the career, have the classiest and most elegant menus with gorgeous music, dedicated entire modes to photo and video editing of cars. GT games were the kind of games where you would race just to watch the replay afterwards and be amazed. It's funny because the best games of the Forza franchise, arguably 3 & 4, were noticeably inspired by Gran Turismo. I mean the jump from 2 to 3 was brutal in terms of atmosphere, and it was clearly T10 trying to be more like GT.
