@@MrArielK honestly, I’ve never seen a Geeks and Gamers video, so I can’t accurately judge his viewpoints (same deal with other KZbinrs on the Acolyte). In my opinion he should just do one video about his overall feelings on the show instead of over 20, and yes I agree it really isn’t that hard for someone to criticize a show and add that the actors are just that, actors doing a job. To be honest I feel like this whole fandom war is dumb and people should just respect each other’s opinions on Star Wars, but hey this in both the internet and the 2020s so that’s not gonna happen. Regarding journalism vs KZbin, journalism implies a higher standard despite potentially reaching a smaller audience compared to a KZbinr. The main difference in my view is that people who aren’t familiar with this “fandom feud” are going to be given a certain point of view from a journalist compared to a KZbinr. In KZbin, you can generally tell someone’s viewpoints on a subject and their clear bias, also it’s the internet where anyone can make a video on just about anything. Journalism is, in theory at least, supposed to be held to a higher standard. Also, just a personal note, I don’t really think journalists should be reporting on some fandom dispute, I feel like there are better things to write about, but that’s just me.

Theory used to be an amazing content creator here on KZbin. Unfortunately, now, he is just a spreader of negativity. A good 3/4 of his videos anymore are nothing more than crapping on all new Star Wars content. The problem isn't that he doesn't like the new stuff and expresses that. The problem is, that is almost exclusively what he does now. I unsubscribed from his channel after watching every single one of his videos for the past 5 years or better. The way people describe this as "people just didn't like the Acolyte" is false. There ARE people out there using racism as a form of criticism and hiding behind "What, I just don't like a show." What happened, no what is still happening to Moses Ingram is the worst I've seen but make no mistake, it surrounds the Acolyte too. The actors themselves aren't lying about it. Remember when Ewan McGregor came out in defense of Moses Ingram while Kenobi was airing? He didn't do that for nothing.
