Its hard for newcomers to understand the contracts, alot of people in entertainment specifically got screwed by their earlier contracts. I remember Pokimane made a segment warning all new streamers about the first contract deals they get and make sure they are OK with the terms, which is not most of the cases specially when big and stablished orgs contact those small streamers and they agree in excitements.

My experience and professional advice to any creator in the arts and entertainment industy. Even if you get a lawyer/Agent, use diligence, common sense and educate yourself on basic IP, Copywrite, and Contracts law. It's your future.

Kinda crazy that a contract like that can be legally binding. It's one thing if the company helps the person in question every step of the way but in this case they just gave Andrew 4000 dollars and a van. The company is taking a huge cut of a big pile of money for years after a relatively small investment. Andrew is all gas no brakes, without him the channel is effectively dead. Legally okay or not it's obvious to anyone that what went down is morally wrong.

The majority of channels I am subbed to, I no longer watch. But I never felt like unsubscribing, because even though I no longer watch those creators' content, I still enjoyed their videos back when I was watching and staying a subscriber doesn't hurt me, but might help them a little to become/keep being successful. But as soon as I heard the All Gas No Brakes thing, I immediatly unsubscribed. Fuck them. Andrew's gonna come back and he will grow a bigger channel easily. He IS All Gas No Brakes.
