Shoes are the one thing that you can justify spending a lot of money on, fitted loafers or solid sneakers are important. you only get 1 pair of feet and you walk on them daily and need a good foundation. But yeah spending 200 bucks on sneakers is way overkill.

If you really want to understand then there's any amount of reasons really. Personally for me my shoes are pricey cause my feet is dumb and don't fit the cutting of most shoes or I end up with blisters. Sneakers and running shoes tend to fare better but that also depends. I dread everytime I had to buy shoes. My mother enjoys collecting good quality running shoes for her marathons. When the price is low there's a good chance the shoes will wear extremely fast or even spoil during marathon. She has way more than she needs but it makes her happy and is her only hobby so I don't judge.

I'm a fan of some good shoes but some of these prices are crazy... The most I've ever spent was on globes ($120) and they lasted me for just shy of 5 years. Sadly ever since that original pair, the quality has gone down a lot and now I might get 1 year out of them if I'm lucky.

it's like they speak some alien language and just every now and then you understand some normal words in between :D generation stuff was not moving that fast in the past. like a 20yrs old person in 1980 would not be as disconnected 10 years later in 1990. But a today 30yrs old is disconnected compared to a 20yrs old :D the funny thing is though, that this kind of stuff is just important till the age of 25 or late 20s, but once you come out of it, the stuff you start to spend your time with is pretty much timeless, its the same for every generation. it's just the world of young people is changing super fast. but not that of adults. i literally remember when i was 16 in school and had to monitor a class of 11 yrs olds i literally could not understand what they were talking about, some phrases they used, it seemed so alien to me and i was just 5yrs older and also a teen :D
