You get asmon being optomistic about a new armor set but then McConnell comes in and reminds us of how shit it is because its a slightly changed reskin. We need McConnell. Idk about that. (" McConnell is a glass half empty guy and asmon is a glass half full guy.") I think McConnell is the antagonist to Asmon's boring protagonist. It is part of the reason why I think McConnell should get paid a little to be on Asmon's stream. Asmon tries to have a balanced approach to wow content, so that he doesn't come off as negative all the time. But McConnell is like our wow Jesus and takes up the mantle of negativity so that they can discuss things to reach the middle ground. But without McConnell it will always start and end with the middle ground. In writing we call this beat by beat. If there is no back and forth and only overall neutral then it isn't fun to watch. So I wouldn't say either is half empty or half full guy.

The problem with the KZbin comment section, Twitter, twitch chat etc. Is that people who just enjoy the content don't really voice their opinion, because they either agree or enjoy it. I for example am lurking just about every stream, watch the videos of the content i missed and enjoy all of it. I understand why mcconnell is feeling this way. I'm kind of new to watching these videos and I've realized that like everytime mcconnell is trying to say something or make a point the whole chat either goes "?????" or "crying babyface" or some stupid shit like that. Looking at all the comments on older videos aswell people seem to hate him and I don't understand why. At first however, I also thought he sounded negative, but after realizing what he's actually saying, he's just pissed that the devs can't do shit to help one of his favourite games get good(again). Mcconnell is a great guy with good points to make and just looking at this video makes it even clearer that he's gettin shit just for telling people what he wants. He just had to literally say one word for everyone to spam "mckuck" and stupid shit.

McConnell’s streams are a real Treat, it’s actually like a fucking rave in chat, everyone is spamming PepePls and other emotes, and McConnell is showing off his sick Camera turning skills to the beat. He may only stream a few times a month but I prefer it that way cause otherwise it would become repetitive and boring, like you can’t party every damn day so I understand why he doesn’t stream daily. I can't be the only one who kinda sees Asmon and Mcconnell as a Game Grumps style duo right? Like they're both good friends and funny as hell and can play off of one another very organically. They both have fans and people who dislike them but the important thing for the both of them to know and remember is the impact they're making. There's thousands of no-names out there trying to do what they are and don't get noticed. McConnell is playing his part in a duo of thoughts and opinions that many people tune in to watch and listen to. Best part of all is that it's entertaining to the viewer. I've said it elsewhere, and I'll say it here... Blizzard needs to create a new Asmongold NPC that holds dps/hps/tank tournaments. Not anything like the proving ground shit. A tournament area where it is everyone pushing as hard as possible to max their output compared to the each other. Not like the Org arena either. Nope. This would be just like Asmongolds tournaments on the stream. I would send the idea to blizz but we all know they would just say "Yeah, you think you want fun but you don't."

TBH I wouldn't be surpized if these two know they work well together. I have a friend that i talk with all the time and we are VERY much like asmond and mcconnell. We never streamed but when friends listen to us they laugh a ton. TBH i think asmond helps Mcconnell in some way, might not be directly but i do see asmond try alot to direct people to Mcconnell's stream. P.S. I feel like Mcconnell is very much a key part of Asmond's stream. I mean, asmond would be popular without him but Mcconnell makes the show that much better cause they work so well together.

He seems like a nice guy, he makes the streams more lively and enjoyable, and brings arguments. When I don't agree with him, it's still fine, because I only know that after being challenged by his opinion. Disagreeing is not bad, you can disagree with people without antagonizing them on a personal level. Besides, he's putting his thoughts on the line. That's much more effort, more honesty and more constructiveness (which is a positive thing in my book), than just hating on someone and calling him names.

I enjoy and respect McConnell and his thoughts and opinions. What I want to recommend to him (and everyone else who cares enough to read this comment) is to stop reverting to negativity and to start looking for the good in everything. Most of my generation (millennial) are hurting and when you're hurting it's very easy to be negative about everything that comes up in life.
