Pretty sure the boat glitch works by the game not realizing the character model is stuck yet the player tricks the game by still moving as if they were able to freely walk and they eventually glitch onto the pad once they've triggered the climb mechanic.

engine related bugs are indeed a thing. dark souls and bloodborne share one common bug due to using the same engine. basically if you kill someone/something with an important drop, e.g a npc (most commonly used for siegward in ds3), they will drop an item which will remain dropped even if you quit the game and reload. well the engine allows you to duplicate that item if you unload and reload that area. back to siegward. he drops a titanite slab, the big old +10 stone, which is why he's one of the most common victims for this bug. basically you kill him in his cell in the profaned capital, and then run back to a specific spot in irithyll where you run back and forth to unload and reload profaned capital, duplicating the items. this works in bloodborne as well, often used on alfred or the rifle spear hunter by vicar amelia for infinite fire or bolt paper depending on who you're killing.

my guess for why the pop bottle frame rate acceleration bug happens is because the game calculates the acceleration per frame based on the frame rate or delta time between frames, then plays that acceleration each frame over an amount of seconds. but not sure

The cork bug has nothing to do with FPS, but players are required to perform the bug at 30 FPS so that ALL players can use it. If it's a bug that is EASIER at a higher FPS or only capable at a higher FPS it is typically not allowed because then players with bad PC's couldn't compete. So the bug is completable at 30FPS so they have to do it at 30 FPS in the run.
