Not that trish will see my comment, but spraying your brush with a setting spray before getting powder on the brush has always helped me with my makeup. the wet brush helps to bring the pigment color out and to stick on the eyelid for longer.

A tip for mature eyes: (replying to your question 17:28) Lots of lotion before hand and even mix lotion with the foundation and just avoid using powder around the eyes all together. Or just use a trusty concealer stick for blemishes only and avoid full coverage makeup. This works great for my mature skin. 💖

Just wanted to recommend when eyeshadow doesn't lay right or you can't see the color, what I like to do is dab my brush in eyeshadow and the spray with like setting spray, like especially with shimmers. And regarding lashes, I like put mascara to blend my lashes with the fake lashes.

For creasing under eyes mix half and half eye cream and your concealer and blend it in the dip. No foundation on the undereyes cause it creases , and use very little powder on the ender eye just eanough to set it

Hey Trisha! You asked for tips about setting concealer on mature skin so it doesn't sink into wrinkles... I just recently learned a trick: Use a setting power IMMEDIATELY after applying the concealer. Like, don't even wait to do the other eye first. Do one eye, set it, then do the other eye, and set that one. Then finish blending concealer anywhere else you want to apply it on your face. It's not a miracle fix but it helps a bit! Also, to not get wrinkles under your eyes, the best way is ''less is more'' and to use concealers that are used by mature women. Usually commercials show foundations/concealers on these beautiful young women but in fact, to know if make-up is good, someone mature needs to be shown with the make-up on. Try to use a tiny dot in the corner of your Eye, and a tiny dot on around the other corner of your eye. Blend blend blend on the spot you applied it, do not deviate until it has been properly blended. After a while you can go more towards under your eye (do this with both sides). You will still get coverage everywhere, but it won't be easily cake-able. To powder it, dip it in, tap the excess off and then apply it under the eyes and around the eye corners. Don't bake; It makes caking easy. The powder will remove all moist from the concealer (wich is already thicker than a foundation) and it will only end up as one big cakefest (because by sucking the moist out, your powder is now in fact bonus concealer on top of your concealer).

Yessss Trish me and Trish have all the same makeup problems I swear. I had to stop baking under my eyes because of my fine lines. You can't even see them until I put the power on. So I just stopped doing powder completely. Idk what else to do. It definitely helps 100% for my eye fine lines to NOT use the powder. But still feels odd to not do powder.

Mature skin should use a lightweight formula. The thicker the formula the more it will settle. Benefit Boing Cakeless Concealer is super lightweight but crazy full coverage concealer. It’s one of my favorites cause I’m maturing too 🙋🏻‍♀️
