Wow, title had me so confused, had never heard that term before! Had to look it up. Learn something new everyday! According to wikipedia: “The term soda jerk was a pun on soda clerk, the formal job title of the drugstore assistants who operated soda fountains. It was inspired by the "jerking" action the server would implement to drive the fountain handle back and forth when adding soda.”

i havent been able to tune into as many of his videos lately, but ive been going through a really rough time battling with my mental health and whatnot. i cannot share my appreciation for lloyds generosity and just kind energy he puts into all of his videos, and these old diner videos are especially familiar to me and are so comforting for me. these have really kept me going (and put me to sleep lol) during this difficult time and im always impressed and excited by his effort and love that he puts into this channel.
