@@SRPASMRI think an ASMR breaking bad sequel is due soon
@lbgonpokeit27 күн бұрын
Right? Like that was the whole point of ASMR in the beginning was unintentional sorts of sounds and motions that come along with various actions. Then people just started tapping on stuff and squeezing things for an hour and calling it ASMR
@KORNdog198627 күн бұрын
@@lbgonpokeit I think when they're trying to discover nice sounds it's fine because it's often gentle and open to being entirely random and unintentional. But too many ASMR creators now are way too rhythmic, and imo, repetitive sounds aren't ASMR inducing...like...at all. Like those "fasting tapping" videos, or that nonsense fad of "making and breaking the pattern". And sadly that's what a lot of bigger mainstream ASMR channels produce these days. It's why I stopped watching a lot of them. They all got sucked into the tech race, bought some Røde mics and started rhythmically tapping on a jar for 5 hours 😅

Hey SRP I just wanted to say thank you for still continuing to upload as you have been these past years. I always look forward to dozing off at the end of the day whenever I get a notification that you've posted a new video. They've all been super helpful and relaxing and the quality just keeps getting better and better. Your videos and your voice have helped me at least get some good sleep during tough times in my life these past few years. Also your love of gaming is very relatable for me personally and I think it's awesome to see a professional (especially in the medical field) to be still open about their love for gaming. Kudos to you man. It's truly inspiring. Sorry for the long message but I just rly wanted to convey my appreciation. Thanks again SRP!

10:21 fun fact: if the sensor bar is broken or missing on nintendo wii, you can use a pair of candles as a substitute.
@Azchk28 күн бұрын
What??? How would that work?
@proCaylak28 күн бұрын
@@Azchk I'm glad you asked. the sensor bar only has two pins to connect. those are only used for power delivery. that means there is no data transfer between the console and the sensor bar at all. the wii remote on the other hand uses those IR emitters as a reference to know its own position. it uses that information to tell the console to move the cursor etc.
@Azchk28 күн бұрын
@@proCaylak Ahh that's right, I forgot the "sensor" was actually in the remote. And not on the "sensor bar". Yes very intuitive indeed.

What a great idea for a video and once again thoroughly interesting, yet relaxing at the same time! My own console history is quite short (by number of consoles) and starts with the SNES. We didn't own one ourselves, but friends and relatives had them and so we still got quite a bit of game time in. N64 was our fist own console and to this day remains my favourite. Probably a view clouded a bit by nostalgia, but I stand by it. Still remember all my favourites: Mario 64, Mario Kart, GoldenEye, Turok 1+2, Smash Brothers, Rayman 2, Rogue Squadron and of course what is still the best racing game ever: F-Zero X. We got a GameCube a few years later which we had a lot of fun with (esp. Smash Brothers Melee!), but it doesn't hold quite the same level of memorability. I went over to the PC camp in the 2000s where I've resided ever since. I got a Switch two years ago though, for the occasional game night with friends or family and it was well worth it. Other than that I have some reasonable experience with PS1 and PS2, since my best friend owned those. However, with later Playstations or any of the Xbox varieties I've had little contact. Such is life.
