This is lovely. I learned mindfulness as part of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) after suffering the loss of several family members over the course of only 4 years (along with several simultaneous big life changes, including having kids, moving to a new state, & getting a new job). It’s also what led me to ASMR, sleep hygiene, and so many other life therapies and good practices. Sometimes it takes trauma to guide us toward better things. I’m so glad that mental health is becoming more accepted for its critical part of our overall well-being, but we have much more to go. When an ASMRtist spotlights it as part of their realm, that’s a good thing. Thanks very much, T. And to those out there who are struggling, I feel you; may you find peace & comfort.
