I totally understand. I've been trying really hard to work on my anxiety lately. I overthink a lot and I've been trying to redirect my energy by filtering my thinking through the lens of whether or not it serves me and adds anything to my life or if my mind power is better used by thinking or doing something else. That's been helpful to me.

I had 3 really exhausting social events this month, which really showed me my social anxiety is worse than I thought it was, so this video is a good positive like idk reminder that things can be better again. Also just a very relaxing video, love it

Hey Roo! This is awesome. It’s not for everyone, but I was late diagnosed the same year you were and have gotten a ton out of DBT, which i started as an online class last March. Lots of similar and practical strategies similar to what you talked about here; it used to be very specifically for BPD but now has broadened a lot to help with autism-related social stuff and emotional regulation. Listening to this I think you might really like it, there are some intro books to get a sense of what it is.

Amazing! Yes I have found it super affirming and helpful at least with the folks I’ve done it with (DBT path) which feels rare in terms of stuff for autistic adults. Good luck on your journey!

late diagnose ADHD inattentive here. Thank you so much for your videos, really helps me realise i am not alone in dealing with what i am. Social anxiety has really hit me since Covid

I absolutely do the outward reaction to intrusive thoughts thing! It's either that or I imagine the thought as a person and punch them really hard in my imagination...it oddly works sometimes! xD
