The best ASMR for me as a child. Was to hear the teacher read. And as she's reading a gentle crinkle of the book sleeve sends a electric shiver up my spine. I think I just found my new favorite ASMRtist🤗

Perfect timing! I was really sleepy at 11 pm and this showed up. The lovely and eye-catching new intro, the cozy attic, the relaxing voice of yours, and those crinkly page turnings tickle my head a lot. You can read to me any night, Rebecca! What cute books you selected. I'm a Mary Engelbreit fan and hadn't seen that Ann Estelle story before (I know the character). What Teachers Can't Do is a favorite that I've read to students in the past. They either agree as you read through the story or go "Whaaaat? Yes they can!" Haha! Don't Take Your Snake for a Stroll is also a favorite. If you decide to more bedtime stories for us, Karin Ireland also wrote I Ain't Gonna Paint No More which is really cute. I also recommend the Skippyjon Jones series by Judy Schachner. She writes AND illustrates her books. You'd get a kick out of them if you haven't already read them. I think I love those books as much as my own kids and students do! Have a great week my friend! :)

That’s a bunch of good advice Samantha! I should’ve figured you would know. I have no experience with reading books to children in recent years. Although I did get to read to my grandchildren just this last week while they visited. I chose these childrens books from the secondhand shops. I had two criteria. It had to have a dust jacket and the story had to be interesting to me. I don’t check publishing dates or authors or any thing else. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I simply can’t afford to buy new books so… this is it. LOL

If you do another story time video, could you try and read “The Hallo-Wiener” by Dav Pilkey and/or “The Perfect Pumpkin Pie” by Denys Cazet? Those were some of my favorite picture books when I was a kid and I’ve never seen them used in a video. If you can’t or don’t want to then that’s fine, but if you did read them it would be totally awesome :)
