I liked seeing Carl progress in episode 9...he was terrified of losing Rick, and he thought he had to let him go right then and there and learn how to survive on his own. Something very similar happened in the comics, so I liked how it paralleled. Episode 10 was great, love seeing Carol back (but worried about how Tyreese will respond if/when he finds out she burned his girlfriend's corpse...). Really happy that Glenn is still alive, and I like the conflict of separation in these episodes. Also, Abraham is here...which makes me nervous to find out whether Negan is coming!! Love these vids, ER, it's fun to nerd out with you!

i recently watched the road since you recommended it, and it was great. Definitely the most real post apocalyptic scenario i have ever seen. As to the new season of The Walking Dead, I really like how they showed so many stories from all the different people who are split up. Carol and Tyrese meeting back up and him not know about Carol burning the people is very interesting. Also the Terminus (old railway name for Atlanta) is going to be interesting.. will it be another Woodbury? I am really glad they are also bringing in Abraham and his crew.

I agree with you on the first new episode being slow but in hindsight I have to admit that I loved it! I think Carl is an annoying brat. But this episode showed so much more depth to his character which I loved. Sure he is a typical teenager who thinks that he can be an adult but in several different ways it was made clear to him that he can't make it on his own. Wether it's a couple of walkers or literally a door standing in the way. His rebellious way of going from house to house showed that typical rebelious teenage behavior. But what I loved most was that he was being all nasty to his unconscious dad and the quick turnaround when he realized that he might actually have to kill his dad where he rapidly turned back into that little kid that he actually still is beneath it all. The scene with Carl and Rick inside the house and Mishion outside was just perfect! The second new episode was awesome! I can't wait to see what is going to happen next. I was so happy to see who survived. The fact that they are now in small groups means that the will be a lot more storylines. Very interesting! I was surprised that the girls were alive, Judith especially. Maggie rocked. Glenn's escape from the prison! Wow! Just wow! And his honesty to that girl who was with the governor - I don't want you here, I need you - was perfect. Although the girl can't really help the fact that she too like so many before her fell for the governors lies. She deserves a chance. And Carrol is back!!! Long rant sorry! :-)

Lizzie having a "bit of a dark side" is kind of an understatement ER. She's the one feeding rats to zombies, and dissecting rabbits, and that whole baby thing in the episode kind of makes me think she's going to be put down by Carol or Carl. I bring up Carl because Lizzie is the "Ben" of the real show.

I was glad to see the main characters are still alive and I was really happy to see Carol is back, but I did like the first episode better, probably because it was just two main stories, with Michonne, Rick and Karl whereas the second one was more scattered.

The Sixth Glass by Boulevard Brewing company. Wonderful beer. I'm a porter fan myself but this beer takes it for me. Also if you ever find a "sour" I recommend you try one. It's a whole different world. I don't know if you'll care for it but it's certainly different. One of my favorite porters is Goose Island's Bourbon County Stout. There are several variations (coffee, coconut, etc.) but they're all good. Not cheap unfortunately. Dark Lord is close to unobtainable at a reasonable price but a great stout nonetheless.

I much preferred the first episode; it was self-contained and reflective, and the happy moments with the reunion and with pudding were great. The second episode was mostly uneventful aside from some minor revelations.

my biggest gripe with the episode is those 2 guys who died on the tracks. How could they survive this long and not be able to take out a few walkers in an open space? they were hitting them in the chest.. amatuers!

I have a question, If you were in a zombie apocalypse (apart from the obvious like water and necessary food) personally what items would you mostly keep your eyes peeled for? Favourite chocolate? I swear the little girl with the dark side.. is turning into a murder or psychopath. my first example the two people who died she most likely killed them and carol found out it was her and took the blame. secondly that rat on the board that was all cut open in episode 8 it was probably also her. AND lets not forget she killed 3 rabbits for the hell of it in this episode. and finally she almost suffocated the baby! this girl is evil..
