When I was in 4th grade, our teacher rolled in the TV and showed us a movie about a family who escaped from East Germany to West Germany using a hot air balloon. I have forgotten the name of the movie, but it's contents have stuck with me all these years and I think about it every time Berlin is mentioned. Thank you for all your videos~

@@thundercat7839 Ah, I found it. This wasn't the one I watched, but it led me to other media about this story. I believe the one I watched is Night Crossing (1982), since I was in the 4th grade in the '80s. But thank you for pointing me in the right direction, I'll check out Balloon.

Fun fact, Berlin's motto is "poor but sexy" ("arm aber sexy"). Debatable now with the gentrification problem. But still a city where you pretty much can be whoever you want to be 😊

It pisses me off that bunch of stuff in the Pergamon museum was stolen from Turkey where I live. I hate British Museum too. Supposed to be asmr but I got triggered 😅
