Last summer with the pandemic in full swing I transformed my commuter dad bike into a rad gravel bike with 35mm Panaracer tires, a Shimano Claris groupset, and a new paint job using Spray.bike.

I like where it's "fuck this diy headset press, where's the mallet?"

Haha yeah that press sucks.

How do you feel about the brake/tyre clearance? Does it ride well? It looks quite tight in the video. (Either way, the build is awesome, and I really like the paint job.)

Thanks for watching! I made an update video that answers that question. But, yeah it was too tight, I moved down to 32mm and it was a much nicer ride.

Great video but twenty minutes of trumpets playing the same song is rough AF.

Yeah my early videos have some audio quality issues for sure. But they do seem to make a lot of folks comment. Probably helps boost their rank in the algos 😂 Thanks for watching anyways.

nicely done video. I am not a big spray paint fan. I think if it is worth the effort you put into your work, with all your expertise, you are selling yourself short not to go pro and take the frame and fork to be powder coated. I did and did not regret it one bit. Also the repeat on the music got a bit monotonous by the end of the video.

I would love to get everything powder coated, it’s a little expensive in my area so I’m waiting for the right project. I agree on the music front. Going to work on scoring the videos better. It does get kind of tough to write a 15-30 minute song though.
