Really enjoyed this, thanks Mary! We don't have many big bookstores left anymore in the UK and I miss them. One large branded store shut down really unexpectedly in our area around 10 years ago and everything was a fraction of the normal price for the last 24 hours. I was Head of the English Faculty in a local school and was sent with the school credit card to snap up some bargains! It was like a wonderful dream! 📚📚

I bet! I am sorry to hear about the closing of the bookshops. It is happening in my country, too. For me, bookshops and libraries especially are so important! It is a safe haven even for those, who cannot always buy the books, just borrow them - but everyone should get a chance to read, whatever their circumstances! I visited Blackwellś in Oxford last year, what a happy time!

1984 is now dramatized and abridged on audible with a full cast and only 3 1/2 hours long!! It has Andrew Garfield, Tom Hardy, and Andrew Scott just to name a few!!! It’s VERY good.
