Same thing...but mine was dogs. My ex had a dachsund that was clean himself and I found the sounds to be soothing. I would instantly get sleepy. Once I told her I enjoyed the sounds and she was grossed out and said, “EEWWWWW!!” Decided from then on Id just keep that tidbit to myself.

No matter how many times I start this video, I NEVER see it in its entirety because I fall asleep. Sammy’s grooming sound is great for sleeping. Maybe one day I’ll get to see the entire video. Every night for the past four months ive fallen asleep to the sounds your one eyed kitty grooming himself. Many nights it's the only way I can actually fall asleep. This two hour compilation has been a life saver for the nights when the insomnia is particularly bad. There are other grooming videos out there but your audio is the best, I love, love number 15 when you can hear bells in the distance. Thank you so much!

@@mr_lavenderyt1151 Exactly what my cat died of (c.1990). She was a 15 yr old black persian who'd been either abandoned or somehow gotten lost. She literally came out of nowhere, in very bad shape, marked me as hers, sat on my feet, and demanded my affection. I dutifully took her home, nursed her back to health, and made her final year comfortable, safe and loving. (We should all be so lucky, right ?) Anyway, a year later at the ripe old age of 16, the vet informed me she was dying of kidney failure. I opted to make her exit as peaceful as possible - the vet gave her the standard euthenasia injection, and for the next handful of mins I cradled her and rocked her to her final sleep, and her departure to cat heaven. I was pretty broken up afterwards. 😔

Omg you are a life saver! I've tried other hooman asmr videos but nothing beats the sound of a cat grooming itself! The closest I've come to liking the hooman ones are the ones with hair brushing and no talking involved lol I practically stalk my cat and lie down next to her whenever she starts grooming herself. This sound is the most soothing I've ever experienced. I often wondered if I was the only weirdo who enjoys this....now I know that there is no such thing as "weird" on the internet.

Actually, I wondered if I was weird, too, but there's just something so soothing about a cat grooming him/herself. When cats are grooming each other, it's even more adorable, and I've had cats all my life. And get this; I've been totally blind since birth, so it's totally normal for me, even though there are things I'd love to be able to see. Somehow, (and I think it's just because I'm so used to being the way I am), I don't need to see when I can visualize what's happening around me in my head. When you think about it, it's so soothing when someone brushes your hair or runs their fingers through your hair, provided it's not all tangled. I can remember times when my mother would rub my back or when my cat licks my hand, and it's still just as adorable. It's their way of showing affection for us, and dogs also show us affection in so many ways. You're not alone.

Although I have 3 wonderful cats, I still cannot rate this highly enough, when I’m having trouble falling asleep due to the pain of my lifelong disability, I’m putting this in my earpiece and, the pain reduces enough to allow me to drift off. Just think about that for a moment, I am in palliative care and have many prescription drugs at home including Valium and liquid morphine, but this works better. Thank you, with this and my furry friends around me, husband next to me and my 7 year old daughter next door in her bedroom, my life has gotten better.

listen, thank you so much for these videos i honestly cant thank you enough. I had a cat who suffered from horrible abuse at the hands of someone i was supposed to trust.. she was burnt, hit, scared and almost suffocated. I was too young and too afraid to do anything except beg the person to stop but they didnt. They sold her after a few years, leaving me alone once again, taking away all the joy in my life. However i was glad she was out of this situation which she deserved none of. I constantly feel the need to apologise to her and all cats, if this makes sense. Anyway now im crying again because i fucking miss her, this cat here reminds me of my cat, aside from all the behaviours she showed as a result of the trauma. This makes me remember the good moments, I hope she is somewhere where she is happy. Thank you if anyone read this far, i truly do appreciate it. Hey maybe some of us can become cat lover friends lol 💗
