Your tongue clicking is the area I think you have improved the most in. You produce it so effortlessly and it's such a tingly sound! Also this might be just me but I love the crazy hair! I never really got into acting (way too shy and it doesn’t really fit with my responsibilities) but it’s always a curiosity and I’ve learned a bit about doing various accents and I’m an okay impressionist. I always like occasionally picking up a book and doing all the voices or trying to tap a little into the minds and processes of actors. There’s just so much you can do whether you want to have fun or emotionally express or delve into expressing more cerebral and abstract or subconscious things. It’s a vey deep artform with as much style and nuance as anything but still a completely different language and I think with a mind like yours along with an interest, not to mention the charisma you could go any direction you liked. I think you should totally do it. I think it’s great like any artform is in the sense that one of the jumping off points is always going to be enjoying and studying other peoples work. Reflection. I think anyone who has the bravery will find something to love. No money tho. Art for art.

I remember you telling me before that you've done theatre before. I just wrapped up Directing Mary Poppins for the past 5 months. Last Fall I was the Director for Clue, which was a lot of fun. And before that, I directed a show called Blithe Spirit. In addition to directing, the past three years I've performed in seven different shows, both musicals and straight plays. I'm sure you are an amazing actress! Places do things differently, but auditions I hold for shows typically include cold reads (sometimes I'll provide audition script sides to prepare for), and I will bring people in groups to work off of in auditions. Musical auditions obviously include singing 16-32 bars of music of a similar music type used the show we are auditioning for. For Mary Poppins I also included dance auditions for those auditioning for characters who have choreography. My suggestion is to work with at least another person prior to auditioning in order to practice timing and emotion with dialogue, and to get feedback from that person. It's one thing to work on delivering dialogue on your own, but it's another to work with others and get feedback. I'm sure you will be great!! If there's anything I can do to help, just let me know!
