I cannot recommend different earbuds but I can tell you what i do. I use wireless buds and have my charging case under my pillow. It usually takes me about an hour and a half to feel sleepy once I've put my phone out of sight but I can usually tell when I am just sleepy enough to put my earbud back in its case without waking myself up again. I only use 1 earbud. Just means both sides of audio come through 1 side. I usually get my earbud back in my case half the time. The other half it ends up all over the place but my method heavily reduces the amount I have an earbud lodged under my back or up my ass. Well, not had it up my ass yet but it would not surprise me if it halpens one day.

Congratulations on passing your driving test! Some teachers tell you that the main part of learning to drive happens after this, while actually driving and they're right. Your comparison with video games is really good, as you need to think a lot about technical details in the beginning until you did it so often, that you don't need to think about it. Switching from your weapon to your heal staff as Mercy while flying through the air or start driving when parked on an incline while checking traffic, being busy with arms, legs and eyes. Starting to drive can be intimidating and I think it's a good thing to feel that way a bit, as a car can be dangerous. One tip, if I may: Drive a lot in the beginning, to get learning effects of many repetitions and get some routine going. You got this!!

When I first got my license I was pretty scared of it and I hated driving. But once you do it a bit, it becomes second nature and you don't have to think about it so much, or focus so hard on it. They always told me that the driving test instructors would be pretty harsh where I went. But it ended up going super smoothly and I was worried for nothing about what they would think or do! They were actually very helpful. Embarrassingly, they had to help me get my hood to stay down, because I didn't realize it was still up ! (We had check to make sure everything was good with it before we took the car to the test) You will do great, and it will feel so normal after a bit! I also never cared about cars but I ended up getting a 2012 Mini Cooper and let me just say I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! If you’re anything like me and have anxiety about getting too close to other cars both on the road or when parking, it’s perfect bc it’s so small you don’t even have to worry. Not to mention it’s super adorable (if you get an older model, like pre-2014. the newer ones lost some charm IMO) and the dashboard makes me feel like a cartoon pilot or a race car driver lol. Super cute. And it’s way bigger inside than you’d expect!! I feel way safer driving it than I did when practicing in other cars. That’s just me.

Now, I don't even think about what gear I have to put or when to press the clutch and I can freely sing Hamilton tunes on the road. So don't give up! If you told me last year that I would have my license by this time I wouldn’t have believed you. But I started practicing driving during the summer and got it by August. I’m honestly really proud of myself. There are still times when I get really panicked while driving and I always use my phone for directions. But my best advice for you is to find some one you trust to teach you driving (for me it was my dad, he really pushed me :) ), and practice everyday. Don’t force yourself to do things if you aren’t comfortable with it yet, and take small steps. Trust me, it gets easier.

My road test is a day I’ll never forget! My driving instructor was supposed to drive me to the driving site. Only she drove me to the wrong location! We got there 10 mins late and the line for testing was crazy. After I finally get my chance, it starts raining!!!! A lot!!! Before the road test examiner got into the car, my driving instructor whispered into my ear “turn on the lights and wiper blades before moving” I did just that and the examiner gave me extra points!! The test lasted 10 mins and he said I passed (I have a feeling everyone passed that day due to the weather! Lol) It was really a memorable day and luckily my instructor helped calm my nerves (I knew how to drive but I always get nervous when I’m being observed) Best advise I can give u is make every move OBVIOUS! Ugh, I feel you so much on this. I live in NYC and failed my road test a few times. The thing is, in the US it depends on where you take your road test. Some places are easier than others. My sister passed hers when she took it in Albany, NY while in college. It's less busier than NYC where there are a lot of a-holes on the road. It also depends on the person you get that's grading your road test unfortunately. Some are nice. Some can be mean just cuz they feel like it. Everyone is different, just like teachers in school are different. Perhaps the bright side about taking it in the US is that you'll most likely be driving automatic (my bro drives stick and he lives in Long Island, NY so I dunno your situation), whereas in Europe it's typically manual. So you don't have to worry about gear shifting and clutch. If you haven't taken your road test yet, I'm rooting for you to pass! Best of luck! And if you fail, don't fret and try again. Learn from the mistakes they point out you made and correct them the next time. You're not alone if you fail. I failed 3 times before passing. 🙄 Dammit, Brooklyn...

Gratz on your permit. Thats a big deal. Your analogy to video games is spot on. After a while driving becomes muscle memory. You don't really have to think about it, you just do it (not with your eyes closed though 😋). When you first start driving, all the thinking you are doing will drain you mentally. Take your time and pace your progress. You'll do fine.

I was a driving instructor in the military for 5 years, and the best advice I can give you is go at your speed. When you're in the passenger seat it's hard to make decisions as if you are the driver. When you are the driver you're in a different state of mind and in total control of the vehicle, keep reminding yourself this and you will feel better. I did the exact same thing when I was getting my license.

You should make a asmr video of you hand making the candles that seem very interesting like how the heck does that work!

The whole driving segment of this show was utterly incomprehensible… how does one not know how to drive.

I think goodwill throws out clothing because people typically give them trashy stained clothing. I’m guessing your not donating stained clothing . You can also go To your local goodwill and ask what type of clothing they definitely need

I didn’t get my learner’s permit until I was like 26 and I renewed it one time before I actually got the guts to go for my drivers test lol I was just so scared to drive but I wanted the independence like you do. It still scares me but I got a lot more confident and my anxiety has gotten better. I think you’ll be fine!

I felt that way when I first started driving too Sharon. I actually did the same thing where I put myself in the place of the driver and I always made mistakes in my mind. In the end, what helped me was just getting in the drivers seat and doing it. With time it will become second nature. Try GPS with audio so you can look at the signs too!
