I'm over the moon about this video. That's my country (and my city). Your friend/sponsor put a lot of thought into these gifts from a cultural and quality perspective. This is not the usual tourist stuff. Mauri is a very old, upscale, elegant and expensive chocolate shop. St George is our patron Saint and possibly the nicest day of the year to visit (book & rose street festival, please look up 'Sant Jordi Barcelona' on Google images). That Amatller chocolate you got is also very upscale. I collect those vintage tins. There is Casa Amatller, an art nouveau building you can visit in the centre of Barcelona and their factory is outside of Barcelona but you can combine a tour of the chocolate factory with one or more wineries. The magnet you got is from La Pedrera (by Gaudí) and the notebook is from Casa Batlló (also by Gaudí) - you should visit both and a few others, and the architectural style of this and many other of our world famous buildings is Modernisme (Catalan Art Nouveau). Trias biscuits, again incredibly traditional. Our grandparents considered them a luxury. Only found in gourmet sections of upscale supermarkets. PS If you post a picture of the instructions on the hot chocolate package I can translate it for you. BTW, there is a famous but hidden alley with several hundred-year old chocolateries where you can drink it and eat lots of amazing things. It's called carrer Petritxol. You must include it in your Barcelona visit.

Now the "Torró d'Alacant" (Alacant nougat) comes from Cataloonia, interesting. As you can guess by it's name, it's actually from Alacant, a city from the Autonomous Comunity of Valencia (Spain). Maybe it's popular in Cataloonia (it is popular all over Spain) but it's definitely not from there, originally. It's made out of almonds and honey by the way. Nothing political here, just getting some facts straight.
