I'm back again. I come to this video every now and then. It's really important to learn a certain kind of self-sufficiency, but it's also very nice to hear that whether or not I'm a good person "can't possibly be up to" me. That's a concept I struggle with. Sometimes I hold such deep contempt for myself, and it's really nice to watch this video and just be reminded that it's not my call. I am as much the footprints I leave behind as I am the thing that left the footprints, and if people around me think I'm a good person, that isn't outweighed by my conviction to the contrary.

I just posted about this in another comment. I promise I'm not shilling for this app, just giving the name so you have an example of what to look for! Anyway I started using Gratitude 365 a few weeks ago. It started off just being for the "write 3 good things" feature, but you can also set up reminders throughout the day that give you affirmations. I know as well as any that depression has no one-size-fits-all solution, but I really encourage you to give it a shot. (It asks for a subscription; don't worry, you can use it for free!) I rolled my eyes a lot at first, but somehow it's working on me now, even if just a bit. You know how negative talk gets in your head and wears you down? This does the same thing, except lifting you up instead. I promise! You might feel dumb for awhile, but like water trickling over stone, eventually it wears a new path. :) (I am not "cured," by any means. But I'm so surprised that this is actually helping me.)

I cried a little. I’ve never heard these words said to me before.

i really needed to hear the "you're safe" also a lot of my friends over the internet see me as a black kitty haha so saying i am a cat was super cute and hilariously accurate. 💕 this relieved a lot of my anxiety and stress that i've been going through the past weeks.

This was exactly the type of video I’ve been looking for, soft comfort with both tingles and comfort. Visuals are great, audio triggers are great, combining the two is a match made in Heaven. Loved the whole video but highlights were the scratching trigger, the fluffy mic, visuals and the comforting words. Great video 👍

I don't know if you'll see this but I ended up coming back to this video after a stressful and triggering experience, and I can't express how comforting it was to be told I was safe and protected ;~; I've kept coming back now because it brings me that same feeling of safety and that I'm not alone 💛💗
