Так ещё кариес, что один зуб почти полностью переделали, сделали канал и корни (это было невыносимо больно). И у меня были плохие стоматологи, какие-то истерички попадались. Your medical-related RP’s are especially good. I never would’ve thought a trip to the dentist would be *this* relaxing, but this has become a go-to for falling asleep. If I was this relaxed at my actual dentists’ I would have started snoring and slid out of his chair. 🤣I really love the up close and personal angle of this video, especially the whole ‘I can hear the funny noises but not see the torture instruments thing’, that’s always a big help. Every time I did feel sleepy though, the noises of your implements made me giggle. I have never had a dentist hide the needle before, they normally have the needle right there in your face.( Pun very much intended) Although, if everybody gave needles like you, "Close your eyes" and done in one second I’d at the dentist every three months instead of every six. As for ‘dentists’ being weird people SJ, I’d like to humbly request we all be made honorary dentists so we all fit in.😉And FYI, I was pretty Impressed with your dad joke actually. Our entire family has teeth very prone to literally anything you could imagine so i was introduced to the dentist very young as a precaution so I could be safe and monitored before anything bad happened. I always did like doctors though so I didn't really care or feel scared but my dentist was a wonderful dude from the very beginning! Very funny, always able to reassure and calm you down and honest without making you feel bad. He was very understanding too since some parts of dental/oral care sometimes became difficult to maintain and even when I had to get a root canal procedure I didn't even feel worried. I'd trust him with anything. Of course I cried a little because I did feel a bit of pain despite the anaesthesia (and also felt stuff inside my tooth move) but I never flinched or tried to make him stop. It's so important for doctors, particularly dentists, to be understanding and kind. These qualities don't take away from the professionalism and/or strictness!

Alas, I’ve only had one dentist who didn’t terrify me, and he retired last year to teach emergency dentistry in another country. He was amazing at his job, but it seems teaching is something he loves more.

My dentist is lovely in real life but he’s not quite as positive as Jim’s. He does notice how nervous I do get tho and will sometimes tell dentist jokes yet still keeping a serious note on any issues I have with my teeth. There’s another lady who makes me nervous and tells me I’ve been brushing wrong all my life bc I got a cavity once over covid. I get that my teeth aren’t sparkling white and flawless but telling me I’ve been brushing wrong all my life simply bc I couldn’t go to the dentist for 2 years comes off as rude and no other dentists I’ve had told me to do anything different except maybe brushing a longer time or recommending a different toothpaste.
