You can use a small amount of acetone on a skinny brush along the cuticle area of the gel x tip when its on to kind of melt it in seamlessly to the cuticle x

That blood red color is just so bold! That's a Saturday night red 😂 french tips are my favorite, I cant believe you did it freehand! I assumed it was a stencil. Nail art is so amazing 👏 💅

They look great. I stopped having my nails done two years ago and taught myself builder gel. My natural nails are longer than they’ve ever been. You should give it a go, with your creativity you’d find it really easy.

You need to try the Apres gel-x sculpted tips. I think they'll be a better fit for your nail bed. I had the same problem with the natural tips. You'll find your cuticle will be much cleaner and you'll be able to size down as well with a sculpted tip. They're for nails with a more pronounced c curve.

Hi Jen just a suggestion to get a smoother cuticle, apply 100% pure acetone to the cuticle with a brush after you’ve stuck on the nail and the acetone should melt the tip a small bit and blend it into the cuticle better. Hope this helps💗💗

I love ur attention to details like at 3:29 when u try to get the nail as thin as possible where it meets the cuticle. I'm a firm believer in, "it's the little things (sometimes) that matter most." Because if little things are ignored then they stick out which makes them big things, to the eyes at least. And no, I'm not crazy and I don't have OCD ... for the most part. 😀

Cosmetologist in training here :) your nails might be just a SMIDGE too big which is adding to your unhappiness in being able to see the nail at your cuticle. Don’t be afraid to push down gently on the false nail to get it to spread slightly to the size of your natural nail. Might be worth a try next time!

You could also try curing the gel for around 30 seconds on ur natural nail before applying the fake nail to allow the gel to get tacky. You can also try applying the false nail onto your natural nail while constantly under the UV light rather than applying the nail then curing , if that makes sense. The nails turned out beautifully, though. Absolutely no hate, just thought it may help make your application process easier

I do my own gel x nails but I could never get liquid gel glue to work, the nails would only pop off. I found using a solid glue gel in a little pot works the best for me. I’ve been doing my own nails off and on for a year or so now, and it still takes me like 5 hours to do them 😂

I do my own nails at home and from everything ive learned and seen with gel x nails your supposed to thin layer on natural nail cure then put some on the nail and flash cure then cure cure also maybe put your lamp up a bit more so your not bumping it
