Pro tip for the super impatient girlies, like myself, while your nails are soaking, keep them nice and warm. Acetone works better and faster when it's warm so if you're using a bowl, set it in a larger bowl of warm water. I usually wrap mine, similarly to hers and put my hands under my little heating pad. Also, applying cuticle oil BEFORE you start soaking is a game changer 😘

Is there a product to put before as protection ? I’ve been doing my nails at home too and I’m only on my third time and my nails are already so flimsy and thin… my nails are naturally prone to breaking even if I go a whole year without any nail polish. I took off my gel x and I’m gonna let my hands be for a few days but I already miss my long nails. It’s just that they hurt so I felt that I needed to give them a break.
@nxna285 ай бұрын
As a beginner who's been making improvements this is what I've learned, make sure your file/ sanding band is a fine grit, 180 or 240 are the finest. Also, make sure you're using the lowest rpm you can and are putting minimal pressure when filing. As for your natural nails being thin, maybe try to take breaks in between sets. When I've grown my nails out I loved OPI nail strengthener it's a game changer for thin nails!

If you’re doing it at home Try a peel off base gel and remover

@@alyssamarescalco1431 what peel off base gel do you recommend. And does it cause lifting since it’s a peel off base?
@LexLexington236 сағат бұрын
Damaged , peeling or even just naturally Thin nails need minerals. Most people think it is calcium and this is not enough. Take 40 mg zinc, 30 mg biotin and get a selenium supplement with vit A, C, and E.(I use wassen brand but solar is also good ) Also massage vitamin E, taken from a vitamin E capsule into all cuticles daily and add a couple drops of caster on with it too. Basically use a pin pop the capsule onto a saucers, add couple drops caster oil mix with same pin, then dab with each finger and massage in. But it will be supplements that heals nails. If have a fungal infection then adding a bit of tea tree oil to the massage bit will also help. (It's usually longt term false nail use that can cause fungal infections, it doesn't sound like you do but I mention it for others) Good luck. ❤

If anyone knows?... I'm newly back to doing my nails since the 90s. My question is... if i dont want to do Gel X, no light, just press on nails with sticky tabs for one night and happy for them to pop off whenever they do after that, are full tips that say Gel X okay to use like that? I cant seem to find a box of tips that doesn't say that on Amazon. My skin gets VERY angry for like 2 weeks when i use acrtone. I have no light & dont want one. Also no e-file for me. New subscriber here. Great video!!

For the efile, wouldnt it be better to use it at a higher speed rather than a lower one? i’ve seen that using it at lower speeds can make you use more pressure, which is an issue i was having, but i’m unsure
@jesslizs Жыл бұрын
Totally I have heard this too! In my experience my e file at 10 rpm works perfect for me when removing the surface gel on extensions bc when I have it too high I feel like I don’t have as much control over it. Try it at different speeds and see what works best for you🤍

One of the thing that I hear is the if you use the the prime bonder on your whole nail is going to be harder to soak off I personally did not try yet bc I’m also afraid of cuticle lifting but if you prepare well the area will be less prone to lifting? I just want good application and moderate amount of time soak them off 😂😂anyway I will like to try and see is is true of a myth BTW your videos are very good and very well explained thank you 🙏 ❤❤❤

I’ve tried rubber base under gel x and regular gel.😊 depending on how flexible the rubber base and your nails, you might sacrifice longevity.
@leahhong17166 ай бұрын
Hi idk about rubber but I do know the nail company jello jello has a peel off nail base that comes off with an oil that comes with it. It allows minimal to no damage and an easy removal process. You can search it up I see many KZbinrs use it.

Do you have any recommendations on how to do a fill on gelx instead of removing them completely?
@TheRealDreaZombie Жыл бұрын
You can fill them with polygel, acrylic, or whatever you prefer. Do it as you would an acrylic fill. Remove after 6 weeks (however many fills for you, normally 2-3 for most people) and do a new set.
