Just a few details from my life so far! I've never been artistic and I have the writing style of a small child :D I hope you enjoy! I missed out so much detail so if people actually enjoy it, maybe we can re-visit this format.

Want to donate to the channel for free? :D This link (Designed for phones) takes you to "TAD" which will then lead you to your app store / play store. The app basically allows you to watch mini ads, which earn you credits and these credits can be donated to the channel. Just type Articulate Design into the App and my face will pop up :D It's completely free, there are no weird pop ups etc inside the app. This is of course entirely up to yourself and is in no way an obligation. I was just getting a lot of requests to set up a Patreon and this seemed easier and anybody at all with a mobile phone and an internet connection can help out :D givetad.com/Art...

ASMR is essentially a made up acronym (Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response ) used to describe that tingly / buzzing feeling you may have experienced in your head or running down your spine. The sensation can be triggered by personal attention, tutorials, sounds etc. If you are discovering "ASMR" videos for the first time, their primary purpose is just to relax and almost always to send the listener to sleep.

You are very welcome and you're right when you say that your parents have always been proud of you (because they raised a decent human being and that is the most important thing) but it must have felt great for them to see things working out for you :) I wondered how long ago you had moved back to England, do you have any family or friends close by or is it a bit like starting over? The slow ones now will later be fast! You were not a good student, but you pulled it out the bag, by going back and studying at 23, I felt very emotional hearing this story, because I was a bad student as well! Mind you, I left school a failure, went to college at 16, applied myself, started the year getting good grades, then fell into drugs, I just barely got through that year, but I felt like a failure still because I didn’t even try, and I knew they just passed me because I needed it! By the time the second year had rolled up, I was heavy on methamphetamines, and needed to leave college, my home life had deteriorated, and I went to live with my dad! After about 6 months, staying clean, and being forced to do chores, I finally went to college to study my passion (music) and it was the best thing I could have done, it felt like a drug just doing the course! I passed with a merit and I was happy with the result, but.... During that time, I wasn’t happy, I missed my family and needed to come home, I had gotten back into drugs, and things soured with my father So my mother took me back in, and I worked as a cleaner for about a year and a half at Bedfordshire Center parcs, and hated it, i was awful, but they still kept me on! Then, I got kicked out of my house, moved into a friends house, drugs booze, quit my job, joined another, stopped going in, lost that one, mum said I could come home, so I went home, sorted myself out, got a cleaning job, left that one for a maintenance role! I’m 23 years old now, but, I’m a lot happier, and I’m in a killer band, writing original music, ready to record, and practicing/training to become a vocal teacher! Thank you for sharing your story matt, it really meant a lot to me

Y'know I spent a lot of my school life hearing teachers say that I wasn't "applying myself", my father heard it back in the 60's and now I hear it today in parent-teacher conferences for my son. My dad speaks three languages fluently, I taught myself how to read medical journals in junior high, and my son is reading the fourth Harry Potter book on his own at 7. I don't think that that line about "not applying yourself" means very much, but I got down on myself about it too.

Can't recall how many times I got the " doesn't apply herself" line. They must teach that line at teacher school...what the hell! I too didn't have good enough grades for university so I went to college (it's the same in North America : college is a step down from University and hella cheaper too!) We got the same line from one teacher..."I'm not taking attendance... If you show up you'll learn, if you don't show up ...you won't." Well, in my case it was a breath of fresh air and I went because I didn't have to. Loved your Life video, love your ASMR skits... you are terrific, thank you so much.

I have been slowly strolling through the content you have provided so far and this little gem of a video has been a welcomed change of pace. Learning about your early years through narrative form, is quite humbling for me as you have decided to share aspects of your life with us. I am honestly moved to the point of providing a response to show my appreciation of this. You have created that series of moments that happens between friends where they exchange aspects and memories of their own lives with this video. It seriously invokes a sense of humility to be allowed to know even this much of your life Matt. Thank you for sharing. Lol... I am struggling here because I honestly want to respond with something of my own life lol. I hope you had an amazing holiday with your family Matt. I have two nieces who have finally awoke for me to play with. Till next time... keep up the awesome work that is uniquely you. You are quite the interesting character.

I thought when i first watched the bar tender rp, that it was your story. We must all learn from this story. Your education and time younger is important, dont make the same mistakes matt did. Learn from ones mistakes. If it makes you feel better matt, there is the chance you'd never have been such an amazing success you are today. You have relaxed, helped and experienced so many people. And maybe just maybe if you did well at college you would never have made this channel. Maybe everything in life happens for a reason
@charlieshweh5274

555 Droid Everything in life definitely happens for a reason. Similarly to Matt I dicked around in school, I never really enjoyed academics and saw them as pointless. I joined the cadet force though and loved that. I did almost no work for GCSEs and did decent in them. Not well, but decent. I had an absolute knob of a maths teacher who talked about how he was an ex military man quite often. Like many of my teachers he knew I was intelligent but indifferent and one day he pulled me aside and told me that I was going to end up flipping burgers if I didn’t pull my thumb out and tried. The next year I took AS Levels and my results were 3 Es and 1 U. I knew already then that I didn’t have the means to go to university, or even the desire for that matter. All through that though I kept up cadets and I was promoted up the ranks, eventually becoming the head of the army section. Unlike school work, I enjoyed cadets and worked hard at it. Most importantly I couldn’t see my future in a classroom, but instead in the armed forces. In my final year at school I took my A Levels, achieving a C, a D and a U. It meant I missed the grade requirements my officer training, but I didn’t care. I swapped my application across to regular soldier and I am currently going through the application process. Had I not joined the cadets I never would have found what interested me and would probably have ended up flipping burgers for a long arse time. Oh and that maths teacher who was a dick? Turns out he served in the reserve forces and after I told him what I was planning on doing for a career, he had nothing but respect for me. So I’ll be damned if things don’t happen for a reason.

Adliad Adliad First of all huge congratulations for getting into med school, that’s no small achievement. To find the answer though you have to look within. Why did you go to med school? Were you pushed towards it by your parents, or was it your dream? I’m lucky enough to have found the thing that I enjoy and can make a living out of, not everyone is so lucky. My advice would be to soldier your way through med school and get your qualification so you always have something to fall back on and once you have finished med school go and experience different things. If you have a passion or a love of something try and follow that, if there’s no viable career path within your hobby then you will find something you enjoy by getting out and doing different things. Perhaps you’ll even find that medicine is what you do want to do after all, hence the importance of finishing your studies. Soul searching and adventuring is the only way you’ll ever find your true calling I believe. Good luck with your studies for this year and in finding what it is that you truly want to do!

I detect that your father is an engineer who works in the coal oil gas industry- most likely off shore oil rigs in Aberdeen. Elementary my dear Matt. Your drawing looks approximately like Aberdeen- a coastal city which ties in nicely with your job guarding a fish factory. Aberdeen is an expensive city to live due to the relative wealth of its inhabitants. The cause of this wealth is undoubtedly the coal oil and gas industry. Now you left your entire family in England to live in Aberdeen. The only possible reason for this is one of your parents to have gotten a very well paying job in the region. Ill go with you dad, as chemical/mechanical engineers are mostly male.

It was good! It reminded me of my college experience, but I feel like I had the opposite problem you did: I basically never had to study for anything before college because I could always do well enough to ace test by just paying attention in class and doing occasional homework. So it was agonizing learning how to study in college, and I generally felt like a pro-stunt motorcyclist that didn't know how to ride a bicycle. I also remember not being helped because some of my teachers would use fonts like "courier" on exams with long questions. I always had problems with reading long-winded questions and answers on test problems like multiple choice, and uniform fonts like courier just made things worse. It would drive me crazy to get questions wrong because I misread a question or answer, so I remember I would regularly take the whole time on exams just because I would have to go through the test 4 or 5 times to make sure I read things correctly. Ah, those aspects are just not fun! Still, your life sounds like you generally had a good time! I hope you are saving some of those spooky guard stories for next month.
