Welcome to our channel. The family you’ve always needed. This is your SAFE space, and if nobody has told you they loved you today, I love you, with all of my person. We sound like a cult, because we probably are.
Tonight’s video is a “soft EMDR session” I wanted to do.. instead of always mimicking a real EMDR session, I wanted to do a more accommodating session for those who are really struggling and need extra re assurance. Sometimes these sessions can be difficult. I’ve been there. So I wanted to give that extra, “security”, if you will.
EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. It’s a psychotherapy treatment that is designed to alleviate the distress associated with traumatic memories. I myself am NOT a mental health professional. These videos are solely for your relaxation, and help as needed. If you are feeling overwhelmed by this video at any point.. please click off immediately. Thank you family! Enjoy!

I've done EMDR and one thing we did before any sessions was create a safe space in our mind... design it etc. And create a place for things to be locked up... then before every session we would open the locked up memory/event, work on it with the session, and put it back in the locked area (could be a jail or box or anything) so that we put away the stuff we deal with so it doesnt effect us after the session

Karuna, even though you don’t know me personally, you’ve been there for me since I was 17 (I am 21 now), and all I have to say is thank you and I love you. I know you struggle with mental health too, so for you to take care of yourself and also take care of us is such a kind and genuine act of love. So thank you ❤️

I’ve had EMDR IRL the therapist did not use ASMR in any form. She used a simple, ballpoint pen for me to follow while recounting what had happened. her voice was softened and very calm. Of course that was back when EMDR first came into the civilian sector the VA invented it, but I could not get treated because I was the wife of the veteran not a veteran myself, so it took years it did help quite a bit and I was able to face the perpetrator in court because of EMDR I can’t say my PTSD is cured, but it went from a 10 down to a two which is one heck of an improvement

Wanna hear something deep?! I feel like I have found my generations life purpose! Most of us grew up neglected and/or abused, a lot of us became dependant on drugs and/or alcohol, many of us are now getting clean/sober and many of us are healing from our trauma, working on our inner selves, and helping others to heal and know their worth! We had to go through some bad stuff but it lead us to become the loving, compassionate people we are and I hope our generation will be the ones to heal themselves and start to help heal the world, I couldn't be more proud! Just remember, the faster you heal from your own trauma, the faster you can be there in support for someone else trying to heal from theirs!

omg wait i commented already but I just got to the part in the video where you asked if we’ve had an irl emdr session before. I just started emdr therapy recently genuinely because of hearing about it from you. In my sessions it’s harder to get ASMR just bc of the more intense working through trauma 😭😭 (and come on my therapist isn’t Karuna) but sometimes it does actually get tingly. my therapist moves her finger back and forth in front of my eyes and repeats the same command that encourages me to process my traumas. at a certain amount of back and forth, she stops and asks me what came up in my thoughts. it’s kind of a mix of anticipatory tingles, visual, and a little of the trigger words with the repetition. these videos definitely helped prepare me well for what to expect :) thank you so much. EMDR has helped me so much already and so have you

Turns out because of the SA in my childhood (it started when I could only count up to 10) I continue this habit. I developed BPD and this has been the best therapy for me.

EMDR is what I chose to do through the VA and for my treatments and honestly this video was very relaxing and you should consider doing this to help people professionally or as a career… you’re very natural at it and if you wouldn’t tell people you aren’t a licensed mental health therapist I don’t think many people would even question it ha. Keep up the great work and thank you for videos like this that most certainly help and that people can have access to any time. You’re awesome! 🫡

I love your EMDR videos. I had a EMDR session with a psychologist and ended up with bad anxiety and panic afterwards. My head felt funny too. Having said that I love your videos and the version that you do. It helps me to relax and I cope better. Thank you

I genuinely almost dropped when you said "such as a dog bite" .... my daughter recently got bit by our family dog in October 2023 and while she is fully recovered it was so traumatic for us and the dog was sadly put down (ordered by law 🥺), but it just really took me off guard when you said that because it's like I was meant to find this video 👀❤️ it's hard to process it all but it's what needs to be done

Well, that frickin worked. I found the fear of failing my kids (traumatic memory), and the enormity of my devotion to them (happy memory), that was the root cause of me yelling at my kids earlier today. And after the video I was able to go apologize to them.

I have done EDMR in real life and I don't know if my therapist just wasn't fully trained or didn't explain what to do well. It was just me crying looking at a moving pen for what felt like forever, with her repeating the events I was supposed to think of out loud and how they made me feel. There was no "positive replacement" so I just left feeling more upset. This video was much nicer, even if it was just relaxing.

Hello Karuna😊 I love the EMDR in ASMR I always tune in to all your videos but the EMDR are really useful and soothing. Even impecably done. For example: When you disclose you are not a professional in healthcare.❤ and ensure safety. Thank you😊 Goodnight my Karuna get some rest😊
