Fun (totally random) fact: Fernet Branca is a "digestivo" (a liquor to help you digest better) from Milan, Italy. Traditionally it is to enjoy hot or, at least, at room temperature, not cold: it's name, Fernet, comes from "fer net" meaning "clean iron rod" in Milan's dialect. It was heated up with a hot iron rod, which was immersed in the glass of each customer. So the customers, who wanted the iron rod to be clean, would usually say something along the lines of "el fer l'è net?" (Is the iron rod clean?), hence the name. Sorry for any mistake in my grammar, hope you enjoyed this "fun fact"! Sending you lots of love from Italy!

Okay, hear me out. This character's name is Ruth, she had a divorce with her husband, James, and decided she wanted to get away from her small town and move into the big city. There she became an activist and became the fancy wine and cheese type, eventually becoming interested in brewing and opened a small, underground bar for people of color, LGBT+ people, artists, and other activists. That's just my headcanon though. :)

Could be right. But don't think people of colour or LGBTQ+ were allowed... I mean people didn't discuss their sexuality it was so frowned upon it was nearly unheard of. But... hey maybe she was ahead of her time
