Yes it was Hector who fought and killed Patrocles in part because Patrocles was wearing Achilles’ armor and carrying his weapons in an effort to boost Greek morale by making it seem like Achilles was back in action. You’re right Astyanax does sound like medicine but it means « Prince of the city » (of Troy by implication ) . He sometimes has another name Scamandrius after the river that flows next to Troy.
