OMG I was at Walmart yesterday and thought of you, Mary. I was browsing and came across three balls. I then said to my friend "you know, Mary once knew a guy with three balls" and we both proceeded to die laughing.

You bought such amazing, useful & thoughtful door prizes. I also have an issue w/my cat & he enjoys slapping around the water dish & it goes all over the floor. I now know what to try, so ty! Don't feel guilty about buying disposables for the reunion. You should even use disposable aluminum pans for your Mac & cheese & your beans. It's way too much to think someone wants to do all that work, then have to wash everything. I don't know how you do it all, but they couldn't have picked someone better to organize this. So happy the other lady is helping you

Love this!! Door prize tip: (not sure how your families would feel about it) but at our reunions we do door prizes as well; but what we do is ask for donations to the pot and that gets added to the budget for door prizes as well! Most people are happy to donate $5-10 & the older generations tend to do $30-50! And if there’s any $ left over, that goes to plates, cutlery, or any other needed things. One year there was about $200 left so we hired a band to come play for about 2 hours, that was really fun for everyone! 😊

Fun twist to the ticket process. And we do this at Christmas that we call ornament. First number called someone goes and picks their prize. Second number called can go pick a new prize or “steal” the first prize. If they steal the first prize, the first picker then picks again. Third pick can pick new or steal from 1 or 2 and so on and so on. So last pick is kind of like having first pick because you can steal from anyone It gets crazy

Those are such wonderful door prizes ❤ Those cups from Costco are SOO NICE! My mom bought them for my toddlers, and it is indeed wonderfully spill/leak proof!! They're pretty sturdy too. My 2 year old throws hers around, and it's still going great!

I think it would be super cool to maybe try a white elephant sort of thing at the reunion? It's like a Christmas game traditionally, but I was thinking Instead of you bringing all the gifts, everyone who attends the reunion brings a wrapped gift, and when you're number is called, it's a surprise what you get and everyone is putting in some sort of contribution :)

Mary, my 14-year-old cat has always pulled his water dish with his paws and spills water. It's really very annoying and that's one thing about him that drives us crazy and we love him dearly! We've tried different mats and dishes and we currently have the bowl on a metal stand tied to a nearby structure and he still tries and spills. We even tried an automatic waterer and he wanted nothing to do with it.

You could try one of those bowls but it has those grips at the bottom so it sticks better to the ground. I had to get one because I had a cat that did that too and it worked! She couldn't tip it over and still got to do her thing.
