I saw that you like feedback so here's a seal of approval from me. Your calm approach to everything is perfect. I especially liked that you started by grounding us to this room using Stitch; asking us to look at him and then say what colour he is. Disassociation can be a symptom of PTSD and we mitigate that using grounding techniques. All through the video, you remind us that we're safe, that you're a safe person, and that there won't be any bad things after we finish the video. Those are important things to hear. You let us choose where we want to look during the video and everything you ask of us is asked politely, with no expectations. Overall, a wonderful job.

Oh my goodness. Very good of you to make this. PTSD is such a complex response to chaotic events. It is the brain getting stuck in an adaptive response, fight, flight or freeze. These responses serve us well and benefitted our prehistoric ancestors but if unresolved they drag our souls upward movement. Mt great uncle had it for decades from fighting in North Africa and Belgium. I know men who got it from from 🇮🇶. My brst friend has it from her husband's death. It's such a weird phenomenon, an adaptive response that does more harm if it persist. The emotional numbness is awful.. Thank you for making this video. It will certainly help people.

I did homeschool which really helped me but going back to school afterwards was difficult since right when i got back someone gave me trauma. Its been a while that I’ve experienced a traumatic event(around 1 year now) and to be honest its still really difficult to trust anyone. Recently though ive made friends that have really treated me well and not like how the others did back then. Still, i often get jumpy whenever someone touches me out of nowhere and i hate it. the first note i have is to avoid hand movements near the face until permission has been granted. Also, keeping the movements slow would be good. for me at least, slower sounds are nice too. giving us the choice to “put on the stitch mask” at any time was very comforting. warnings about writing on us was good, but again maybe do it slower and pose it as ask for permission rather than just saying you will and we have no choice in the matter. the praise for calming down is very good as well. giving us time stamps to skip certain body parts being touched would be good. give us a bit between the warning and you touching. maybe try having us note specific senses. like rubbing a piece of fabric and having us say what fabric it is. saying if youre tapping something on the right or left. dont tell us what not to think of, cause then we’ll think of it more, just distract us. the counting was great. very calming.

I have severe CPTSD from my step father. (To the point where if I hear keys or glass clinking I start crying or having flashbacks) and this was super relaxing.

Thank you so much I have severe ptsd from arguing and fights in early childhood so even slightly loud noises send me into a panic attack and I have trouble focusing but this was so helpful
