Okay so I am French and I just found your channel and let me tell you how good your pronunciation is (especially the « r » and « é » sounds) You have a really light and subtle accent that we can only hear when you are reading long sentences. Chapeau bas 🎩 ! I have an exam about art tomorrow so this video is exactly what I needed 👌🏻

Thank you so much! I just love the way French sounds, so that's really lovely to hear. And if it's not too late, good luck with your exam! Fingers crossed for a good result :)

Thank you for this format! 😇I never go to sleep without listening to some ASMR but yesterday I had troubled mind about french I havent been able to repeat as I planned, and so this came as blessing cause I could finally relax knowing this is somewhat productive too ❤️

Oh, and I have a similar book from this publisher- only its of grammaire. Soo the format felt familiar 😁

Yay, thank you, I'm glad to hear that! I hope you had a restful sleep after that :) And thanks for mentioning the grammar edition! I didn't know about that one, I guess my book store only had the vocabulaire at the time? But it's by far my favourite exercise book out of all the French ones I have, so I might actually get the grammar one too...

It was really fun to watch you do these problems as a native speaker. A few details for those watching and learning French (long post incoming) 1.3. "Sur le marché de l'art on trouve des restaurations" is a correct sentence. In this context "restaurations" would be a generic term for every painting that was restored. 2. In this whole problem the use of un/une is correct and le/la is not, as every sentence is talking about a specific painting. Of course this is a vocubalury exercise but for those learning I wanted to point this out. 3.1. could be correct, many "mécènes" own collections. 3.5. is really a subjective sentence. Weird to put it in this problem. You can think an academic style is too conventionnal or not. "écaillée" could be translated as crinkled in the context of paintings if you want to be specific. "la touche d'un artiste" is an uncommon expression, I've never heard it. Could be used between artists and specialists maybe. The average person would use "la patte d'un artiste" in this context. By the way some of this art vocabulary is so specific I wouldn't be surprised that half of native french speakers don't understand them. (try asking an average french speaker what a "scène de genre" represents in paintings, you will hear funny answers) Loved the video, always cool to see people learning a language as a native speaker. Your French is already super good.

Honestly, just German, English and French with some decency. There's unfortunately a bit of a gap between taking a course or two and actually being able to use a language haha, but I enjoy learning them.
