Tyler Schaefer I hope theres a mod that makes the NPCs have more then 4 voice actors, and maybe one that ports the game over to a different engine. Personally i've modded the game to oblivion and back on PC, but never managed to change the combat enough to be desireable and fun compared to other games.

One of my favorite things to do is turn off the compass/turn down the opacity and go hunting with just a bow and arrows. The best solution is to use DynDOLOD. I'm just using SDO in this vid, but DynDOLOD is way better and more flexible.

Grayson Davies I installed dyndolod the other day, takes a bit of time but there's an awesome tutorial video, and if you follow that you can get it set up inside an hour. After doing it once you'll remember the process it's really quite simple

Drops to 45ish in the most intensive outdoor areas. Bearing in mind I have temporal antialiasing enabled in the ENB, which is pretty taxing. Usually in the 50s outside, and solid 60 inside.

I'm fine with them making the special edition. In fact, I'm glad they're revisiting the game. While it may not look any better than a modded PC version, at least it raises the baseline, and hopefully modders will be able to now push the engine further to look even better. And Todd Howard confirmed that they are working on a new Elder Scrolls game, but that the technology currently doesn't exist to allow them to do what they have planned, so it'll be a while yet before we see it. I'm OK with that, and in the mean time we have a prettied up Skyrim to distract us.
