Brilliant, I love that you know the lore and can talk about it. I like watching these more than playing the game now because your gfx are so much better than on my set up haha.

Glad you enjoy them! I wonder how many people are like you, and listen but don't watch? Either way, yes, I'll absolutely be making more :)
@theASMRnerd11 жыл бұрын
Yes, I have to search every nook and cranny when I'm playing. It makes games take waaay longer than I think they do for most normal people, but I can't help myself. Truth be told, I think I prefer the outside ones too, but I like to mix it up a bit now and again. Thanks for watching :)

Stumbled upon your wandering series whilst watching one of Ephemeral Rift's Let's Play's. I gotta say, is there anything here you haven't done perfectly? This has to be the first ASMR I've actually tried to stay awake though just to bask in the ambience and beauty! Have you ever considered attaching a camera to a gimble and recording one of your hikes in this manner? Would be nice to share the experience of the real thing, ASMR style ;)

Glad to hear it! Some people like them, others don't, but I personally find mouth sounds relaxing too.

Patiently waiting for your next skyrim video. They're amazing, thanks for taking the time to make these videos!
@theASMRnerd11 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the suggestion! You know, I haven't actually played New Vegas yet, but I did pick it up during the Steam summer sale for $5. I have a few other games I'd like to do videos of first, like Proteus and Dear Esther, but once I've sunk some time into NV I'll have a better idea of how it would work for ASMR. The nice thing is, since it's based on the precursor to Skyrim's engine, many of the console commands I use for my Skyrim wander will probably work in NV.

I do have Oblivion, and you're right about there being some great graphics mods for it. Once upon a time I had it all prettied up with enhanced shaders and the works, but that was a few installs ago. I like your idea, and if I have the time I'll reinstall, fancy it up again, and record a video to see if you guys like it. Thanks for the suggestion!
@theASMRnerd11 жыл бұрын
Haha, yeah. Sometimes unexpected stuff happens while I'm recording and I'm like "how do I deal with this?" It can be hard to take stuff in stride and integrate it into the narrative. Often, if I start getting really descriptive about a given thing, it's a good sign I don't know what else to say and I'm just trying to fill space :P.

I'm also a complete kleptomaniac with this game as well as a total perfectionist.. though that's true of most RPGs for me. Great video (lovely mods!) and narration as always. I think I prefer your 'outside' ones, though; I really like listening to you describing the scenery and environment. It's very hypnotic. Thank you.
@theASMRnerd11 жыл бұрын
Haha, the opposite actually. I usually have a drink of water before recording. The mouth noises happen because I whisper very close to a very sensitive mic, and it just picks up a bunch of stuff we don't normally hear. I also edit the sound slightly to emphasize higher frequencies, which makes those sounds a bit more apparent.
@theASMRnerd11 жыл бұрын
I'm happy to hear it, and I hope they continue to do the trick for you!

This is surely the greatest ASMR series to ever hit KZbin, oddly enough it fuels my urge to play Skyrim by tenfold. Do you run any mods? (Other than being invisible of course)
@theASMRnerd6 жыл бұрын
Very kind of you to say so! I run a TON of mods, both visual and gameplay. Check the video description of my latest Skyrim Wander video for a relatively up-to-date list of visual and sound mods :)

you got the best mods up and running. I'm having such a hard time getting the enb mods to work and not CTD. I know I have the system for it, but I'm doing something wrong. Any good guide you know of that could help. The one I found on Reddit is good until I get to enbs. Thanks. Nice video too.

Do you have Oblivion? If so, there are some very good graphical mods out there. I eould really enjoy it if you did a "Wandering in" Oblivion video. Love your videos!

I have a suggestion. Might it be possible to record these series in 60 frames per second instead of 30? It would make movements look much smoother and more realistic and thus the experience more enjoyable.
@theASMRnerd10 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the suggestion! I'd love to record at 60 FPS, but with all these graphics mods my GPU just isn't up to the task. Now, If somebody wanted to send a GTX 780 Ti (or two) my way, that'd be a different matter ;)

Because it's a fictional universe and the 'Nords' you speak of aren't the Nords you may be familiar with. It's not entirely created in the United States, either. They take certain aspects from actual cultures, for example, the architecture is reminiscent of the Vikings, and put it into the game.

chances are it's more to do with psychology than game design. for some reason our brains our in overdrive with facial recognition so we tend to see a lot more, part of the reason haunted house stories are so prevalent. would be cool if it were intended though, someone should make the mod.
