@PunkZombie13003 жыл бұрын
I feel you. I only recently figured out I was NB/gender-neutral and that I preferred they/them. I've struggled with body issues and my gender identity for a long time, on and off for almost a decade, until a friend of mine actually asked me what I preferred to be called/identified as. That was the first time anyone had (irl anyway, it's a bit different online where you can't see the person behind the screen so you kind of have to ask). She mentioned that she realized she referred to me as them when talking about me and wanted to check and see what I was okay with, which opened up a couple weeks of self-reflection that made me realize how well that fit me. But yeah since I've been identifying as a man for the past 26+ years and I have a lot of anxiety issues I haven't really come out other than to a couple of friends. My family wouldn't disown me or anything but there's been a lot of uncomfortable conversations/arguments in the past about the way I've dressed and presented myself. So I've kept a lot hidden and just don't want to deal with that conversation. Good luck to you and hopefully you have some supportive friends who can help you out. I understand the anxiety but there's no shame in trying to find yourself and asking people to respect that.

I've just this day started to come out as non-binary and this video series is the final push I needed to fully imbace it. I'm using both NB and masculine pronouns (mostly for convenience sake). I've been going back and forth with this in my own head for a long time now. I'm still happy to be referred to as male as I have been my whole life, but I have no personal connection to that gender and if I'd been brought up as female or gender neutral I'd be fine with that. I don't consider myself trans, at least not right now but I'm still a vocal supporter of trans rights. Love 💘 to all y'all no matter what flag 🏳️🌈 you fly.

@willh26903 жыл бұрын
@@whodis2546 I've thought about it for a long time. For years I've known that typical gender roles didn't fit me and only identified as Cis-male because that's how people saw me and I was fine with it. I've never experienced gender dysphoria, I've never had a stranger staring back at me in the mirror, but I do feel restricted by the societal gender binary. I wanna were makeup, the really cool coats in from the woman's section or just really atypical stuff without it being a statement, I wanna wear it the same way I wear jeans and a t-shirt. So gender fluid could fit me, but I think agendered would be more accurate to who I am right now. Enby is such a broad term that I still have room for exploration and personal growth.

I know this video is a year old but I just wanted to say thank you so much for making it! I've been watching your content for about 4 years now (maybe 5??) and I've enjoyed it all but this one is especially my favorite. It's so weird coming back to this video because when it was first released I was incredibly new to the LGBTQIA+ community and only knew I'm asexual + panromantic, but now, as someone who figured out I'm nonbinary and gender nonconforming in the last year, remembered you made this and immediately came back to it 🥰 It's so exciting seeing my own growth and coming back to this vid with fresh eyes

I've known that I was bisexual for a long time, but last year, my mum was diagnosed with terminal throat cancer and I wanted to come out to her first. She passed away in January and I never got to come out to her as I wanted to put her first. I recently came out to my dad and brother and they are so supportive of me and that to me is a relief. I am also engaged to a straight man and I was beyond terrified to come out to him as I thought he wouldn't love me anymore. When I finally worked up the courage to come out to him, he told me i was so brave and he said he loves me more than ever. Coming out was such a huge weight off my shoulders and now I can live my life as an open bisexual woman. Life is so good!!!

I'm way late to this but, after months of figuring these out, from a bi person (this is just my take, labels are what you make of them): -Bisexual/biromantic: Attraction to AT LEAST the genders within the gender binary (guys and girls), almost always also including non-binary people as well. May have a heavy or light preference, or equal attraction. -Pansexual/panromantic: Attraction to all genders, commonly but not always "gender-blind" (where gender has no impact on attraction). -Omnisexual/omniromantic: Attraction to all genders, where genders do play some sort of role (could have a preference, like different traits in different genders, or both).

I wasn't sure I was straight, due in part to a cease in deep feelings for an ex following an amicable "break-up" in early April, though the rest of the summer ended up being a breakup on its own, and it wasn't the greatest. Turns out this was probably due to being some flavor of neurodivergent, which is another recent-ish discovery of mine. I've been on a tangent, however. My point is, I watched the He/Him video a year ago and while it still applies, I have since come to understand myself as nonbinary and I am now watching this video, and my pronouns are he/they.
