That one comment on the last AITA kinda rubbed me the wrong way. We have made everything on the internet too accessible. Kids are now required to have Chromebook’s or tablets even when the parents don’t want their kids to have devices. You can’t control who your kids hangout with at school. The only way you can control ALLLLL of that is if you homeschool your kids and not everyone can do that. Most families require both parents to work. If it’s only one parent, there is nothing you can do. My parents didn’t let me have a phone and we didn’t even have WiFi. I STILL found a way to access things on the internet I shouldn’t have been accessing. I hung out with people who were bad influences. What could my parents do? Not allow myself to their house or them to my house. That’s it. I still hung out with them everyday at school and were still being influenced by them. It’s just a ridiculous notion to think you can control every aspect of your child’s life when they go to school and can get access to so many things and so many different people.

To me it looked like the boyfriend didn’t know op was hungry. He just didn’t want to get salad ingredients. Saying that he has other food at home is completely reasonable especially since op can’t eat the chicken salad right away she would still have to go back home to prepare and eat it, he didn’t say she can’t eat at all. It’s an ESH for me. Op sucks for being passive aggressive and bf sucks for trying to get op forgiveness with expensive items.
