The workmanship put into creating these caravans is amazing ... just beautiful. There is absolutely no comparison between these and a tiny house. Most have no exterior or interior art/craft work, no color, ... like a saltine cracker box. Love the Vardo.

Ive always wanted a caravan after seeing one local man living in a red gorgeous one on a hill by our house. I was mesmerized by it as a kid and was then heartbroken when the county made him remove it. 😭 Then I could only get my fix from watching Pee-wee Hermans film when he fell in love with the Italian circus 🎪 girl ❤️ she had the most gorgeous one 😆 I'm still obsessed.

Such beautiful Vardo wagons, they are so colorful, bright and inviting. I am building out a skoolie atm, this makes me want a Vardo as well, but I will take some inspiration from this video of such a beautiful way of life. Thanks for making and sharing this video. Good video the lady mentioned some craftsman on this video Tommy Gaskin can't remember the rest but there was one other the lady mentioned they used to build the wagons my mum and dad new Tommy the man was excellent at building wagons the man taught people and some wagons was called Reading wagons

@@shishkebab5306 It's completely understandable if you've never heard of ASMR before 😊 ASMR videos are created as a means to relax the listener...so she deliberately narrated this video using a very soothing voice, in order to help you relax, while also learning about an interesting subject. 😊

I'm very interested in the subject, but was also very distracted by the ASMR whisper-style of narration that seemed to try to put me to sleep vs. educate me on Vardos. It was a constant challenge to maintain focus as if the actual intent of the video to educate competed with the ultra-relaxing presentation style. Not trying to be rude, just offering a tip. There is a place for ASMR, and a place for educating. The two don't meet because education requires awake and alert attention... the exact opposite of ASMR which seeks to relax people to the point of sleeping. It can be frustrating for a viewer seeking to learn, yet has to fight themselves to stay awake and focused on what is truly an interesting subject.

Thanks for the video, but you got a few things wrong, the first description of a vardo only applies to a Reading vardo, which you later pronounce as "reading' but is actually pronounced as reding as in the colour. The other thing is that some Romani people I know are really offended by the use of the word Gypsy, I doubt if you would call African American people by the "N" word, but you are happy to call Romani the "G" word. Also they are offended by cultural appropriation so a lot of the so called vardos you show are obviously not Romani but new age hippies perverting their culture. I am building a Reading style horse drawn Vardo and I always stress that I am not Romani and my Vardo is a Tinkers wagon. Aside from the negative, I did enjoy your video and I am glad you have an interest in these beautiful pieces of history.

crackin2000 Do you mind if I ask which style of vardo you are building? My parents have enough land for me to live in one when I go back home after living abroad for years. I don't have the bloodline but my Great Grandmother always welcomed Gypsies to stay on her land long ago. She enjoyed their company and style. She passed on their love of color, jewellery, and unique style to our family in her 100 years of living. I've always been a traveler by nature and after so long a vardo near my family is my dream. I'm interested in your experience of building one. I'll check your channel but my lack of vardo building knowledge will leave me with questions I'm sure. :)

I'm not trying to be rude, but I don't understand; are you narrating this in such a way that your voice is meant to be relaxing? I think the qualities of a good, relaxing narrator would include voice inflection, pace, tone, and enunciation. In this narration, you sound a little sleepy and tired; almost like you'd rather be lying down, drifting off to sleep, or doing anything BUT recording a narration about caravans. Are you familiar with the show Forensic Files? If not, watch an episode. The narrator is Peter Thomas, and his narration is exactly what I'm referring to. He draws you into the subject matter, but his voice is relaxing and soothing. Most often I'll fall asleep watching Forensic Files. Again, I don't mean to be harsh, crude, or rude. I just wanted to share my thoughts and feedback. I apologize if I'm being too forward!

Actually in fact it's 'Romani' , but can be spelt 'Romany'. There's a few ways of sounding it, depending on what part of the world you are from. And if you are not Romani then ofc your going to get some facts and sounding wrong. :)
