Wow, I might be many years late to this, but -- as an EEG technician in real life, I was so pleasantly surprised to run into something like this in the ASMR community! I always thought an EEG roleplay would be so relaxing and I wasn't disappointed. Your CNE video also remains one of my favorites to this day as well. I actually had this particular examination in my life before (I think, 3 or 4 times) and nobody explained me what was going on that time. It felt seriously relaxing and tingling, however. The background hum is great. A lot of asmr artists complain about their background hums or other small noises but for me it adds to the experience. I enjoyed this and makes me want to get my brain examined for real.

This video has got my gears turning. EEGs could conceivably be used to verify the sensations we attribute to 'ASMR'. Consumer level eegs (little more than novelty HIDs) are inexpensive can identify only a few states such as attention, relaxation and can detect eye blinks. I believe with the right sdk and access to sensor output, or at the very least a way to train the software, we could use these basic eegs to detect tingle events as easily as they do blinking.

+Whisper Science EEGs only pick up blinking because eyeballs are electrically charged and you look slightly up every time you blink. It's a physiological artifact, not a brainwave. Whether or not your brainwaves change when you're tingly is a question that has yet to be touched by science, but as someone who's worked in the field for several years I strongly suspect that the answer is "not in a way that is interesting." But next time it's slow at work, maybe I'll conduct a study.

Very nice video. I had taken EEG s at least 20 times in my life, but this was the most joyfull. Only a reminder, the light test done while eyes closed and a light similar to the ones in clubs that flashes constantly and results gets in 10 minutes. Well would you be my doctor :)
